The tile inset top and the melamine(plastic) top. The tile top is more common. But due to the fragile nature of the tiles which are very thin, they are usually found cracked and broken. We are discussing a possible new run of the tiles with the original manufacturer- but that is some time off. In the meantime we offer it with a marble insert in lieu of the tiles. Offered for Sale is this Set of Vintage Mid Century Protective Table Pads Custom Sized for the BROYHILL BRASILIA No. 6140-44 Regular(Oval- Shaped) Dining Table and One Extension Leaf. Used. This pad set will fit the dining table that has conventional legs- it will NOT fit the no. 6140-45 round table with the arched legs. The regular table measures 66" by 40" And one leaf measures 12" by 40" The table side is a greenish-felt surface. The top side is vinyl with an embossed rose design. Do note that this pad set can be used with one leaf added. Or without. The felt side is intact. Manufactured in the United States and sold by Montgomery Ward, it is extremely well built, with dovetailed drawers of Oak and encased within a Walnut veneer. I have found a photo where a different piece of furniture had the same marking as this one, but was then overstamped with a Kent Coffey mark. That makes sense, as I procured this piece alongside a bunch of similar looking Kent Coffey“Town House” pieces. Nice clean lines with just enough visual interest. It is in pretty good condition considering it's age. Aside from some very minor surface scratches and some wear to the handles. It is pretty clean and good to go. The dresser stands 46” tall. I salvaged these from a piece that wasn't quite up to my standards but the pulls were too beautiful to part with. I have not touched them for fear of ruining the patina but I'm sure they will clean up well if so inclined. Also included are the original cross-recessed screws.
