LOVELY PAIR OF ART NOUVEAU NORTH AMERICAN NATIVE INDIAN GILT CAST IRON BOOKENDS
Why not have a look at my other auctions and store items for interesting militaria etc? Here is a lovely set of bookends. Likely made from the 1880's to the 1940's. They are certainly Art Nouveau style but then the Native romantic period approximately spans those years too. These are cast iron with a lovely gold patina, not unlike a Vienna bronze finish. Each is 4 1/4" wide and 3 5/8" tall. The pair is in excellent condition. The fellow depicted is wearing a chief's head dress of eagle feathers, a medallion around his neck and typical choker neckband. They're a great set of turn-of-the-century art and would make a nice addition to any Art Nouveau collection, as well as any library collection. Perfect also for an Art Deco book case. This listing is for a very fine circa 1890’s French Art Nouveau bronze bust of a young beauty with a hat. The piece measures 14 inches or 35.5 cm high. And is 7 inches or 18 cm at its widest. The bronze features a ¾ bust of a beautiful young woman wearing a large brimmed hat. She wears her hair loose and flowing under her hat. She has excellent rendering in her smiling face and hair. Also the details in ... moreher clothes is quite fine. The bronze has a milk chocolate brown patina or color, which is all original to the piece. It is signed on the back“G. VAN DER STRAETEN” this for Georges Van Der Straeten(1856-1928) who was Belgian in descent but lived and worked in Paris for much of his life. He began exhibiting at the Salon in 1885 and produced many portraits and some fanciful busts. There is also a foundry mark on the back for the Societe des Bronzes of Paris. Please reference Bronzes of the 19 th Century by Peter Kjellberg pages 622 and 665. The bronze is in excellent condition. There are minor age appropriate variations to the patina. Beautiful art nouveau kayser zinn german pewter plate/tray. It is my understanding that while the company did make plates they also made and encouraged liners(or trays) for their larger objects. Note the medallions on the opposite sides of this plate. Measures 8 1/2" in diameter. The well measures 5 1/2 inches in diameter. Condition is great as there are NO dents. With the lid on, the bowl is 4" in height. The bowl and lid are both heavily decorated with flowers, leaves and vines. The bottom of the bowl has four round feet. Bronze Art Nouveau Match Holder
Fantastic. Near copper color patina on this piece. The front and rear panels have an Art Nouveau tree design. It is in excellent condition with minimal wear. Height is 4 1/2 inches(11.4 cm) MB1-11. A note to silver scrappers: There are those on Ebay who will claim that the weight of an object is less than advertised and demand a rebate after the auction has ended. This is an ongoing trend and these individuals seem to complain if silver prices go down between the day they buy and the day they receive. When one melts silver one can lose as much as 5% of the weight in the smelting process and I can not be held responsible for weight lost after melting. I do not generally melt anything that is well made as it makes little sense to me. So any potential loss should be considered before purchasing my items. All my items are measured with a standard tape measure and are rounded off to the quarter inch. I attempt to be as accurate as possible. But odd surfaces can prove difficult sometimes as I lack a pair of calipers. With over a thousand items in my store. Errors do occur, albeit infrequently. Beautiful& Extremely Rare Circa 1900 Art Nouveau 14K.F Rose Gold Swirl Dip Pen! Judging from the design it is of the late 19th century or early 1900s. The pen as is visible in the provided images is marked 14K.F or what appears as an F except the top line of the letter F is absent? I have never seen the mark K.F so at first when purchased the dip pen I thought it was marked 14K.F as being 14 K gold filled. How-ever since I have never encountered such a mark I decided to get the pen tested, so I had it tested thoroughly at both ends excluding of-course the nib and the rose gold swirl dip pen had passed as 14 carat gold! So what does the K.F stand for, is the F the mark of the gold smith? Perhaps English or German export Karl Faberge or 14K.F for 14 Carat Fine gold, most likely the F stands for fine. This is a Art Nouveau holder. It can be used for business cards. Napkins or whatever else you can think of. I think that the screws have been replaced on the bottom but it looks like an easy fix. There is some damage and some paint loss but is very usable as I have used it for years! I believe it to be a period piece. It weighs about a pound and is a sturdy piece of history!

The lovely maiden dressed in a flowing gown is just stunning. She would work perfect as a newel post or as an entrance piece on a pedistal. She is double signed on base as shown- Ranieri. These statues were blanks that were then electrified which one can easily wire up to her hand and use as a torch lamp. The statue shows wear typical of age and use to the patina easily touched up. For Auction is a very nice set of candlesticks made by Tiffany Studios. New York. These are known as Bronze Poppy Stem candlesticks. The Candlesticks are a nice size as each stands approximately 9 7/8" tall and the round foot has a diameter of 4 7/8" This is an elegant pair of Tiffany Studios bronze candlesticks. They are in the form of poppy stems. Descending into a fluted circular widespread foot. The stem terminates with six foliate branches holding a poppy flower pod. The bronze metal is Acid Etched with very large flakes. They have nice light brown naturally aged patina that is pretty uniform throughout both candlesticks. They both have removable bobeches. These are original bobeches and not reproductions as is evident with the Acid Etched metal flakes and the style of the flanges on the bottom of them. The Candlesticks are ... moreconsidered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no dents. Or dings to the metal. They both show minor wear consistent with age and handling. The Candlesticks are both signed with the impressed"Tiffany Stvdios New York" mark along with the pattern number"1210" which is impressed just underneath this. The use of the letter"v" in Studios denotes this pair as an early pair of candlesticks by LCT Tiffany Favrile. There is also the numbers 1136 lightly scratched below the pattern number on one of the candlesticks. I believe this was more than likely a special order number and Tiffany's way of tracking them. This is a quality set of Tiffany Bronze Candlesticks. These are an excellent example in both Patina and Acid Etching. This is one of the harder to find of the bronze Candlesticks Styles. I'm quite sure the buyer will be quite pleased with their purchase. Since these have the letter"v" in Studio I would say these candlesticks were early made circa 1902-1905. A Chicago mail order house that sold patterns to children to make brass boxes, frames, etc. and FR&C. This antique box is in sturdy. But well worn, condition. There are dings here and there to the metal, lightly bumped corners, light oxidation and patina. The lid doesn't quite shut all the way. Inside is a bit rough: The green felted paper has been written on, is stained, and should probably be replaced. The folded metal under the lid is kind of free hanging, but fine. The hinges are good. This bust was made at a French foundry right around the year 1900 and has a little brass title plaque that reads LIBELLULE PAR A. de RANIERI(Sculptr) Libellule is the French word for dragonfly and Aristide de Ranieri. The statue is of an Art Nouveau stylized woman in a long flowing gown with partially exposed breasts. The woman has flowers in her hair and is admriing a butterfly which is down on her side. Antique beautiful French lady sculpture on marble plinth 19th Art Nouveau
This is a lovely sculpture of a beautiful French lady sitting on a marble base or plinth. The woman is made of white metal and gilded and is in the art nouveau style. The sculpture is perched on a green and black marble plinth. The sculpture itself is 4 ½ inches high and it is 5 ¼ inches on the plinth. The sculpture likely started life as an ornament on a 19 th century French clock. The base was chipped in order to make the woman sit properly. The chips can not be seen when the sculpture is in place. There is some gilding loss to the woman. The woman may have been holding a spear or something when on the clock.

This extremely fine Pewter bedroom jewelry tray. Is a fine reproduction made by Achille Gamba. The standard of casting is extremely high with fine definition. There are three makers marks on the underside. It was designed as a jewelry tray which normally was kept next to the bed for watches or bracelets etc. This is a very good example of Art Neuveau styling. Charming and romantic, with a young female resting as part of a pool with lotus flowers. Circa 1980. My thanks to an e-bayer that informed me that my prior description was not correct. I have since altered the past description to reflect the corrected information. Dimensions: 9 1/2" long by 7 1/2" wide by 4" high.

This is a pretty wall receipt holder that has a really nice cut-out design of scrolls. Flowers and leaves. It has a curved spike/hook for putting the receipts on but would make a nice recipe or note holder. It has a flat smooth surface on the top that has a copper or bronzy color that does have some wear. The back has old black paint on it. It measures approx. 5 7/8” tall x 3 5/8” at the widest point and would stick about 1 ¾” out from the wall. So Pretty Vintage Green Tin with Yellow/Gold Floral Motifs This vintage tin has earned a very pretty antique patina over time. Large round size. With a slightly flatter height than expected, the tin is done in retro green and has yellow floral motifs(aged to a gold color now) artfully arranged around the lid. The flowers have both an Art Nouveau and an Art Deco sensibility, and the wear and patina has added a crackled effect for a wonderful aged appearance. Looks to date to the 1930s or so. No branding, though the tin contained three pounds of something, and was made by the Independent Can Co. of Chicago. The vintage wear and patina includes some small areas of wear. Some small scratches and scuffs, some handling marks and soiling, some small dents and dings, etc. Metal rims have darkened. There’s a dent on the lid which causes the lid to ... moredip in that area. Most wear is on the lid. Around edge areas. This is an ongoing trend and these individuals seem to complain if silver prices go down between the day they buy and the day they receive. When one melts silver one can lose as much as 5% of the weight in the smelting process and I can not be held responsible for weight lost after melting. I do not generally melt anything that is well made as it makes little sense to me. So any potential loss should be considered before purchasing my items. All my items are measured with a standard tape measure and are rounded off to the quarter inch. I attempt to be as accurate as possible. But odd surfaces can prove difficult sometimes as I lack a pair of calipers. With over a thousand items in my store. Errors do occur, albeit infrequently. BARBEDIENNE PARIS French ART NOUVEAU Gilt Bronze Urn
Offered is a fine gilt bronze Art Nouveau urn by the Barbedienne Foundry in Paris. It is an art nouveau interpretation of a classical form. With finely modeled, pierced loop handles that continue down the sides ending in raised anthemion motifs. Realistic, high bas relief sculptures of blackberries adorn the front and back of the body. It is signed just under the rim, finely hand engraved, F. Barbedienne Paris. You can see from the photos how it retains most of its original doré bronze finish. It will clean up beautifully, I have not even washed it, but I am leaving it in estate found condition as everyone likes their own level of cleaning on gilt items like this. At some time this took a header and dented the rim on one side, and probably at the same time knocked off part of one of the berries.
