The back features a lush landscape with a flowing creek and a stone pillar on one side. The side of urn has two bronze handles with floral relief work. The base is stepped with a cobalt blue glaze and applied gold. The condition of the urn is as follows; it is missing its cover. There have repairs to the porcelain stepped base and the neck, the bronze mounts have darkened with age, there is also craquelure to the glaze on the body of the vase. Please note. This listing is for a very fine circa 1890’s French Art Nouveau bronze bust of a young beauty with a hat. The piece measures 14 inches or 35.5 cm high. And is 7 inches or 18 cm at its widest. The bronze features a ¾ bust of a beautiful young woman wearing a large brimmed hat. She wears her hair loose and flowing under her hat. She has excellent rendering in her smiling face and hair. Also the details in ... moreher clothes is quite fine. The bronze has a milk chocolate brown patina or color, which is all original to the piece. It is signed on the back“G. VAN DER STRAETEN” this for Georges Van Der Straeten(1856-1928) who was Belgian in descent but lived and worked in Paris for much of his life. He began exhibiting at the Salon in 1885 and produced many portraits and some fanciful busts. There is also a foundry mark on the back for the Societe des Bronzes of Paris. There is a hairline crack that goes all the way around the marble pedestal where a repair may have taken place but as you can see not bad. Ornate antique early 1900s French/German bronze dresser jewelry box with a painted portrait of a young man. These are usually French and I believe it is French. But there is a piece of printed paper underneath the velvet in the lid that has German printed words. So, that is why I listed it as French/German. The miniature portrait is painted on a thin slice of ox bone. This beautiful box is in good condition, but has a few dents on the bottom.The green soft velvet interior has some stains and, should most likely be replaced. The box has relief of rose garland on the sides and a rope twist around the top. The lid opens and closes just fine, but the top velvet circle needs to be glued in place it keeps falling out when I open the lid. The box measures 2 7/8" in diameter and is 1 3/8" tall. Pr Partial Nude Lady French Bronze Figures 19th Century 14" Tall & 11 Lbs Each
Here we have a pair of fabulous 19th Century French bronze figures. Both figures are of a partial nude motif. They are large and very heavy. Each figure stands aprox 14 inches tall. One figure has a weight of over 11 pounds and the other just under 11 pounds. There is a copy of an appraisal that comes with these figures. The appraisal was from 1972 and can be viewed in last picture. Back then they were appraised for $350. 42 years ago. For being about 140 years old they are in good antique condition. They were gilded at some point but most of that is worn. The finish shows a lot of wear, but I feel that just adds to these gorgeous ladies. True antique bronzes you dont see every day. Thank you.

We are pleased to offer this wonderful. Old, antique pair of candlesticks. This petite pair dates to the 19th century. They are a beautiful representation of French ormolu. They are Rococo in style and feature very detailed and ornate design. The pair are gilt bronze which has a nice thickness. They have beautiful bases with"plant stem" center columns. The stems lead to a large opened bloom that rests under the three, ascending height candle holders. The candle holders have very detailed leaves and vines that seem to wrap around them. There are two large flowers on the top sections; one faces front, the other faces the back. The candle wax drip cups are also in the form of multi petaled flowers. Antique E Jullien/Paris (1880-1900) French Gilt Bronze Tray/Dish/Valet
This is a beautiful antique french gilt bronze that was made by the E Jullien Foundry in Paris between the years of 1880 and 1900. The foundry was only active then. There is a mark engraved on the bottom that says"E Jullien/Paris/12 Rue Pasquier. I have already mentioned the flaws- the gilt is missing from most of the woman's body. There are some nicks and scratches, but it is still very beautiful. I find especially charming the fact that the woman's hair goes down the side of the dish, and you can also see her arm resting there from the side. I am selling this for a friend(this belonged to her aunt) And neither of us know anything about antiques, but I did look up the foundry and found some very good prices for the objects made there. It is approx imately 5 1/2" long by 3 1/4" wide. And weighs 15 ounces. I haven't ... moretried to clean it. 9.25x13.25" Antique FRENCH Gilded Bronze FOOTED TRAY COUNTRY SCENE Relief Border Impressed"FRANCE" underneath and in excellent condition. This circa 1880 possibly older Gilded Bronze FOOTED TRAY has a border in crisp relief showing an abundance of French Country folks chatting, drinking from mugs, on horseback, reaping, and loading kegs onto a wagon, all entwined with vines. There is a bit of wear due to age in the center which shows the bronze color which looks like copper but I do believe it to be bronze although it could be copper. There is also a very slight visible ring in the center probably from something that was set on it. I have not tried to polish this out. Measuring 9.25" top-to-bottom and 13.25" in length. The candelabrum measure 32 inches or 81 cm high. And are 16 inches or 40.5 cm at their widest. The candelabrum features a footed and stepped base which supports the tall flower stem. The stem has a series of arms which support the 6 flower form candle cups. And one at the top. Also decorating the stems are gilt bronze and white opaline glass flowers. The process of bringing a bronze sculpture to life using the lost-wax method is something you'll appreciate after taking this tour- Enjoy. Here Artist original clay sculpture is nearly ready for the foundry. Note the artist is still adding the finishing ... moretouches. Most sculptors prefer to work with clay or wax; some however. Do use wood and other mediums. Here the finished original clay is now complete. The sculptor will take it to the foundry now, get a bid then begin the first stages of the lost wax process. The first step can be shocking for some as they begin to decide how this original will be cut up. In order to prepare the original clay sculpture for molding. It will be dissected by cutting the clay with wire and by cutting the armature with a saw. The armature is what helped support the clay in place while the artist was creating it. Note the registration marks which later in the process will serve to realign the parts. Shown here are the sections of the original clay sculpture after having been dissected. Now the various parts of the original are carefully mounted on clay plugs before the rubber mold material is applied. The clay plug later serves as a pour spout for the mold. As you can see now they begin painting the latex rubber onto the original together with the clay plus that's been added in layers. Offered- A very rare- very unique French Victorian Bronze Wall Shelve/ Sconce. Please note that the shelve is small- measuring 4 inches across the top and 3 inches in length. The shelve extends 2 1/4 inches from the wall at its widest point. The piece has beautiful detail- with a very stylized flora motif. The piece has a beautiful patina- I have not cleaned the piece but there are traces of old polish. The back of the piece has two loops for hanging. 1895 French Engraving On Bronze or Brass Short Haired Period Gentleman In Heavy Bronze Frame By P. Rodde For Your Antique French Art Collection Details Description: Antique signed and dated engraving on brass or bronze of a late 1800s. The engraving is of a woman with short hair and dressed in period clothing. The engraved plate is housed in a heavy Bronze frame and is covered with a piece of glass. The frame has a sliding back and when opened reveals three copies of a business card of the artist P. Rodde. The piece is signed“P. Rodde” and dated“1895” P. Rodde was a so called Bronze Fantaisies(or Maker of Bronze Novelties) Living at 43 Rue Notre-Dame de Nazareth. We assume P. Rodde was French but it is not clear what town he called home. This is a nice engraving with quite a bit of detail. The frame is decorated all along the edge with a ... morecast design. The frame has a loop on top for hanging. The entire piece could probably use a good cleaning, but we will leave that to the next owner. Please carefully review the photos as they are part and parcel of our description. Date: 1895 Origin: France Size: ~2 13/16 by 4 7/16" and is 3/8" thick. The engraved plaque measures 2 1/2" by 4" and weigh 2 ounces. The entire piece. It will clean up beautifully, I have not even washed it, but I am leaving it in estate found condition as everyone likes their own level of cleaning on gilt items like this. This beautiful Empire Bronze Candelabra measures about 14.75" tall. The one candle holder on the outside seems a bit roughed up and mounted differently. It can be seen in the pics. The sticks really are absolutely exceptional. Figural elements from top to bottom from the hoof feet to the faces to the acanthus leaf branches. A fantastic piece of bronze work. The wood mounts that are holding the base together seem as if they are about to give up as can be seen in the pics. Not bad for 200 year old wood.

This is from a smoke free home. NEVER abused the details and fine art work look very nice and we would rate this a 9 out of 1O as to overall condition. There are no real dings.
