Measures 72" x 30 We had this daybed re upholstered and shortly thereafter ran across this chair in a vintage store with identical fabric so we had to buy it. The sofa has 6 cushions all which need covering. There is 6 cushion covers for the sofa included in the listing- in the pictures I took them off all but one cover so you can see the covers are striped with velcour closures. Originial cushion covers are darker beige and have a zippered closure.The striped covers fit right over the originials. The original cushion covers are torn on the sides and a few buttons are missing- I am assuming that is why the owner recovered the sofa. The foam inside still looks good no drying. The wood on both loveseat and sofa has some scratches. Wall rubs and on one leg which I took a picture of has a chip on the bottom inside ... moreof the leg. Mid-Century Retro Vintage Antique 1950s Green Sofa Couch & Chair Recovered 1960s
This auction is for a 1950's Vintage Mid-Century Retro Floral Green Couch and Chair that has been recovered in the 1960's. The color just pops off of the couch and chair. There are springs in the cushions. As well as, int he couch for better bounce. It has been been steamed cleaned by a professional the chair and the couch both just a few weeks ago. The couch underneath has a small rip in the black see through fabric. Please see pictures. One of the four metal bars has come loose and the black see through fabric will have to be pulled away in that area to tighten the bar back in place. They made things well years ago. There is a small worn area on the corner of one of the cushions on the couch but hard to see. When you remove the couch cushions you will see a stained area. Oxi clean can probably get that out. Black naugahyde upholstery has a very cool ribbed back stitching and is in very good condition with a couple of tiny flaws, one on the corner of the right arm and another on the very back of the sofa(see pics) The tapered black lacquered legs are strong and rock solid. My mother had this same style of sofa when I was little. I was elated when I found these. These are few and far between. Over the past few months. I've only seen one other pair and that was on Etsy for $975.They are easy to look at, don't dominate the room, easy to move and to recover, and allow for lots of flexibility. These can be placed side by side or perpendicular to each other.The previous owner let them get rained on- hence the waterstains but I've steam cleaned them, used upholstery cleaner, vacuumed them and had them airing in the sun for a week, so they are as clean as they can get without re-upholstering them. RARE Van Keppel & green indoor outdoor sofa mid century modern vintage 1950s VKG
Super rare California modern sofa purchased over 10 years ago from California Living in Los Angeles. I'm including a photo of the last similar sofa sold at Auction(Wright20 out of Chicago) which was sold 8 years ago- this design doesn't come up often! To my knowledge. Because this was indoor/outdoor design most of the sofa's were outside and eventually rusted out and discarded. While the upholstery was re-done over 10 years ago(in Sunbrella) the frame itself is original grayish-beige(taupe) powder coat and was most likely exclusively an indoor sofa since the 50's. The frame is in excellent condition. The upholstery is ok but sofa would look much nicer with new cushions. The daybed lifts on both sides with 2 height options on each of the sides.
