Arts & Crafts/Deco Era Havstad Pewter Norway Tea Pot, Creamer & Sugar Bowl
Again I have one of those items that I rationalize as to why I don't keep it myself. Early Havstad Pewter is pretty scare and this is a quite fine example. The Set includes The Tea pot with hinged covered lid. Creamer and Sugar Bowl. Very handsome style in Arts& Crafts? Art Deco style made in the early 1900's and signed. All of the pieces are free from rust, dents and dings. No deep scratches and minimal scuff as you can see by the photographs. The inside of the Tea Pot could be cleaned a bit better for proper use, Most handsome is the rippled wooden turned handles on both the Tea Pot and Creamer. The curve of the spouts are tastefully done as well with horizontal ribs along the rims. The Tea Pot stands6 inches tall and would hold 2 cups of liquid with room to spare. Both the Cream Pitcher and Sugar Bowl stand at 3-1/2 inches.

Copper-smith and metal-smith, best known for lamps made of copper with mica shades, and also for copper vases, bowls and candlesticks. He was a prominent participant in the Arts and Crafts Movement, and was active in Oakland and San Francisco, California. Dirk van Erp was born January 1. 1860, in Leeuwarden, Netherlands. His father and other family members were coppersmiths. He immigrated to the United States in 1886, and came to San Francisco in 1890, where he went to work for Union Iron Works. In 1892, he married Mary Richardson Marino and their first child, a daughter named Agatha, was born in 1894. Up for auction is a great hammered copper tray from the Arts& Crafts era! Unfortunately it is not marked. But it is still a fantastic display piece for your bungalow! It is all one solid piece! I had some antique leather gloves displayed on this for years and they left that weird black spotting. A lot of it came off with a light wash, but I didn't try anything else to remove the rest. I'm not familiar with what to try and I didn't want to ruin the beautiful patina that this has. It is not as shiny as the pictures would suggest, but was photographed directly under a light. Antique Brass Arts & Crafts era Tankard with faux Horn Handle
Offered- A nice American Arts and Crafts era Brass Tankard with a faux Antler Handle. The Tankard stands 5 inches high. The diameter at the bottom measures 3 3/4 inches tapering to 3 inches at the top. The handle resembles Antler. It is made from some type of composite- I am not sure what- but I have seen this on numerous Arts and Crafts pieces. The handle is fixed at the top and bottom on shield-type emblems- There is also a shield on the front of the Tankard. The brass is in good condition- there are a couple of minor dents- commensurate with the tankards age. I would date this piece at 1910/1920. Vintage Copper Bowl - Arts and Crafts Style - Blue Enamel Interior -Signed China
Here is a vintage copper bowl with teal blue enamel on the inside. The bowl is formed with vertical"panels" all around the outside. Which give it an Arts and Crafts feel, in my opinion. It is 5.5 inches across the middle of the top, 3-1/8th inches across the bottom, and sits 1.75 inches tall. It has a nice ring when pinged. There are no dents in the piece, but one fleck of enamel is missing on the inside(see in picture one, upper middle right) The bottom is stamped"CHINA" It weighs eight ounces, and just needs a good cleaning.

Lovely Arts and Crafts Trumpet/Tulip Vase. This piece is finely hand-hammered out of fairly heavy-gauge brass and has some very fine planishing in the workmanship-it has a mellow brass copper patina with just a touch of sienna and a smidgen of earth green. It is 7 1/4inch high.The mouth of the vase and the base/foot of the piece are both an equal 4 inches across.I'm no expert but i have owned some old A&C Metalwork-a couple of Van Erps and two Roycrofts,and as a as a guesstimate i'd say this piece was at least pre 1940's and most likely 20's-30's or before.There are no cracks or noticeable dings,soldering on bottom seems fairly tight. This piece is unsigned and was probably created at a Vocational School or by someone in an apprenticeship program.

Offering this fabulous Arts and Craft period large sterling silver on bronze vase manufactured in the early part of the 20th century by the Heintz Art Metal Studio. An extremely fine example of Heintz's work and highly prized amongst collectors. This wonderful piece is a large cylinder vase decorated with sterling silver cattails heavily overlayed on bronze. The silver overlay depicted in Arts& Crafts motifs are often organic and taken from nature. Nice original warm patina on this authentic period piece. Excellent craftsmanship in the joining of the base to the stem. Great detail in the incised lines in the horn/trumpet shape of the vase. Very solid and heavy. There is a very small flaw in the base. Noted in one of the photos with the pencil pointing to it. Look closely at the photos for more details and descriptions.
