Up for consideration is this Beautiful Antique Hand Hammered Brass Pitcher by Ezio Casagrande son of Egidio Casagrande of Borgo Valsugana. Italy. Ezio Casagrande was the son of Egidio Casagrande born in Borgo. Italy. He and his father worked specializing in manufacture of iron, brass and copper objects. After the war the father became known throughout Europe, participating in many festivals and exhibitions. The father became known in the U.S. market. His work was used in the movies Ben Hur(1959, The Fall of the Roman Empire(1964) and The Ten Commandments(1956) He passed away in 1962 at the age of 51. After his fathers death Ezio also continued the art. However the hallmark on the work changed, Egidio's mark was an oval, without pointed ends and without the inner oval and reads'CASAGRANDE, ITALIA, BORGO-TRENTO' We have owned this ... moreNumber 19 pitcher made/procduced by both the father and the son. We can honestly say with first hand knowledge based on the work we have seen. It is our personal opinion that the sons' work is much more polished than his father. We have seen how he expanded on his father's concepts and went on to a much higher level of quality than that produced by his father. It is in excellent condition and is in it's original condition with the beautiful patina of the brass. It measures approximately 9.3 inches spout to edge of handle. 7 inches in diameter at pot belly, 4 inches in diameter at the base and 8.2 inches tall. Antique Early Primitive Hand Forged Cooking Tongs Folkart
Such a rare unique piece of antique iron. Hand forged with pounded rivet in the hinge. Cutout decorations could be from Pennsylvania? Small tongs used in cooking. Probably outdoor cooking. 13 3/4" in length, 2 1/2" wide at widest part, by the teeth. The teeth appear to be added onto the iron one by one. I tried to show this in the photo. This is a wonderful piece of functional folkart and a work of art in itself. Other than the superficial surface pits, to be expected for it's use and age, this is in remarkable condition. We were fortunate to purchase several of these Country French styled, Old World" candle holders which came from a large estate. Each is hand forged and beautifully fashioned. The wrought iron is thick and very substantial and the pieces are very heavy. There is intricate detailing with lovely scrolled curves on the arms and the legs. The center shaft features twisted iron with a French"bird cage" twist as the center focal accent. The four candle cups and drip pans are nicely patterned as well. This is an all wall hanging Copper Plate with Art Engraving of an Egyptian two horse drawn Chariot with an Egyptian Archer Warrior at the Raine's. It is nice work and it is very good condition. The Plate Measures 8" X 8" The Egyptian Pharaoh Style Dagger has a Stainless Steel Blade that is Engraved along with Copper Pommel and Hand Guards that are also Engraved. The Wood Handle is Copper Colored African Cocobolo Wood with Black Wood Grain Stripes. The Dagger is 14" Long. It is a nice looking knife by any standards. I purchased these items while on Assignment in the Sudan at Khartoum while hanging around one of the Middle East Flea Markets back in 1993. Antique Copper Money Pouch. A Pair Antique Gem encrusted prickets or candle holders Gem embossed Silver plate Pricket Sticks. Extensive scroll work and beading very ornate. The candles are designed from a single sheet of silver plate metal and hand forged together. You can see the merged line under the inside of the candle. Then the intricate details are layered atop the body of the candle sticks in raised design. The very top is Filigree- a cut out design the surrounds each pricket. Also a black cabochon gem is applied to each candle one is missing. Intricate design raised relief- chasing or engraving- repoussé. Tall Gem embossed silver prickets/candle holders. These are very large. Each Stands: 21 inches tall 7 inches at the base. and the top 2 1/2" Looks like rolled silver and applied embossed sections. Antique German hand painted porcelain enameled tea set is in great condition. There is some reasonable metal tarnish and minimal staining on the inside from use please see photo's for detail. There is also some wear to the enamel around the inside rim of the sugar. The leaf pattern has beautiful color with teal and rust colors against the porcelain white background. Antique Hand Hammered Copper Bowl W/ Lid (urn) - Maker's Mark on Bottom
I have up for auction a small antique hand Hammered copper bowl w/ lid. I am assuming this could also be considered an urn. The bowl with the lid is 4" tall and 4-1/2" wide. There are a few small dents(pushed in a tad) that can easily be pushed out BUT I prefer to sell it as found and let the new owner push out the slight indentations if so desired. I find them part of the character of this piece. On the bottom I have taken two(2) photos so that maybe you can identify the maker. I will start the bidding off very low and maybe you will get lucky and me a little unlucky.

Persian Antique 19th Century Middle Eastern Islamic Hand Engraved Bowl Toreutics
This is a original one of a kind 19th Century Persian Middle Eastern large bowl/ pan with a footed bottom rim. From what I understand the metal can be a mix of copper(mainly) Zinc, tin and even other metals avaiable to the artist at the time. The Bowl is beautifully hand engraved and is the typical Persian style toreutics of the period. It's believed the piece depicts that of King Cyrus(Cyrus the Great) holding a lotus plant offering his hand in marriage to the Queen Tomyris of Massagetae in which she rejected. As the story goes Cyrus then ordered his army to take Massagetae by force. It is said that that Tomyris and her army defeated and killed Cyrus during his attempt to conquer her country and then beheaded him. The Bowl’s is very detailed and in excellent condition with only light scratches around the rim and it has some deep brown ... moreand light green patina. It measures at 14-1/2” round by 2-1/4" deep and has a hand pinched 1/8” footed rim on the bottom. There is no makers mark. Which is characteristic of the craftsmen from the day. I have not cleaned the bowl in fear of taking away from the value, but it will shine bright if cleaning is desired. I would love to have anymore insight into the piece if anyone is familiar with the lost art of Persian toreutics. Check out my! Antique Decor Hammered Copper Ladle Strainer, Spoon, Egg Poacher Hand Forged
For sale is a Gorgeous rustic set of large ladle. Strainer spoon, and large egg poacher. The ladle and spoon look like they are solid copper. But the egg poacher it may be copper plated over very soft metal- Ladle measures 21-3/4" x almost 6" wide. The strainer paddle measures 24" long x 7" wide- The egg poacher measures 8" wide x 10-1/2" between the tips of the handles. They have some wear and tarnishing. Each has an engraved or stamped design along the handle. The parts look to be welded together. Both handles are curled at the ends so it can hold a loop for hanging.
