Moroccan Berber Vintage Crosses Enamel Silver Lot Of Three
Gorgeous vintage Berber southern crosses. Highly detailed and intricate with good old enamel color in excellent shape. Old Berber silver was generally an alloy akin to coin silver and not sterling. These are all the same size. 5 cm tall by 4 cm wide. Two are a matched pair and the third has complementary colors. Please note that I collect these treasures myself and am an expat living in Morocco. That said. I am concerned with managing buyers' expectations. The Dish Crosses are very fine quality examples with great detailed supports and beautiful Repousse decorated Center portions. The Dish Crosses supports are also movable to allow you to use it with many different sizes of Platters or Bowls. And also the arms swing right out to use with a multitude of different shaped Serving Dishes. The Dish Crosses are also in excellent condition, the only flaw to point out is some of the end buttons have been replaced and the larger example shows some minor plate loss. The Dish Crosses also nice large sizes for use with the both having arms measuring 12-3/4" long overall and one being slightly taller than the other with the taller standing 3-1/2" tall. I could not find a maker's mark but the Dish Crosses are of very fine quality and I am sure the new owner will be most impressed.
