This is a LOVELY Vintage Hand Made Black Satin Petit Point Embroidery Purse/Made In France. There is a embroidered floral design on both sides of purse. The top of frame is hand beaded/wired as is the clasp. No loss of beads that I can see. The inside of purse is lined in ivory satin. There are a few tiny stains on one side which I have pictured. Otherwise, the rest of purse is very clean. There are no holes, tears or other stains. No musty odor. Clasp works great! Purse measures 6 1/4" tall and 5 1/2" across. 1830 ANTIQUE SEED GLASS BEADED SAMPLER SACRED HEART FRANCE ROSES GILT FRAME
I know I took an odd assortment of photos. But please take a look at them. What I was trying to capture is gold sparkles which I can see in certain light, and angles which just has a Heavenly sparkle. I think this was embroidered either using a gold thread or it is embroidered on gold fabric. The light also reflects off the beads which add to its luminosity and sparkle. This is truly a rare and beautiful piece of art. It is obviously French in origin because fait par is French for made by. It has the Sacred Heart of Jesus surmounted by the cross and surrounded by roses. It is marked 1830. The beads are so teeny tiny. I must say that I am a lover of antique beads. The antique glass is most beautiful. This was a wonderful dedication of love, a religious work for the glory and honor of God. The frame measures 10.75 inches square. The frame itself ... moreis a weighty thing and the gold has such a soft buttery looking patina, more bright gold in some places and darker in others. I believe the back is covered in silk. It is so tightly closed that I am afraid to open it and take out the actual cloth. I wish you could see it when it is not in so much light because that is when one can really see all these little gold specks shining throughout it. Just amazing! Please see my other items. Antique Micro Bead Beaded Purse Cloissonne/Pearl Embellished FRANCE
Recently acquired from my aunt's estate. This purse is from FRANCE(see mark inside shot of purse) and is a marvel of micro beading and stitch work(micro beads are cream colored and cream and gold across the top where the cloissonne work is, stitching is all other colors) The strap is gold-toned. Remarkable is the cloissonne work with little pearls on top of the purse(see pics) I really have idea as to the exact age of this purse but would guess it to be early 1900's The body of the purse measures approx. 6 inches up/down and 8 inches across. Condition is very good. With some notable staining on the inside lining(see pic) I am asking a flat rate of 8.00 towards well-packaged insured USPS priority mail shipping.

The inside has a beveled mirror, a powder screen, what appears to be an original powder puff, old powder remains. I do not know what kind of metal this is, but a magnet does not stick to it. I can find no marks on it. The compact measures approximately 2 3/8 by 3 1/4 inches wide& 5/8 inches tall when on it's side. The compact is in good antique condition; no chips. Cracks or repairs. This little 1940's French masterpiece by Josef has everything! The exquisite micro beading and Point de Beauvais stitching cover every inch of this beautiful evening bag. The colors are breathtaking! The entire exterior is covered in tiny antique white or ivory colored beads. Laying within the ivory colored beads are magnificent Point de Beauvais needlework stitching done in wonderful tones of peach, blue, green, mauve, and tan. There are pink, white, purple, gold, blue, red, and green micro beading work on the clasp and around the framing on the top of the bag. There is one tiny thread at the end of a row of intricate stitching, no stitches appear to be missing. I am trying to be as accurate as possible, but please use the magnification to see all of the details. This is an extraordinary purse, I have not seen one of this quality and superior handwork in many years. It is a treasure and an heirloom piece. Exquisite hand made white beaded French purse with exquisite detail. Especially the point de beauvais embroidery which is soooooo beautiful. Made in France(embossed on interior metal frame) for Sterns Brothers, New York it is in very good condition with some flaws. The metal frame is gold colored and contains coral beads in the clasp. The bead work is sound in the body of the purse. The flaws include: Some of the tiny colored beads in the filigree detail on the frame are missing, more on the reverse side. The interior silk moire taffeta lining has some discoloration(see last photo) Because of these issues the purse is being sold"as found" The purse measures 7" x 6" Although there are some flaws I believe the qualities far outweigh the flaws. My research found this handbag to be ca. 1920s. If you are looking for a wedding bag. this is fantastic. It is a work of art. Cream satin interior. Very clean. One tiny dark spot and a little age discoloration. Interior has 1 large open pocket. Inside label says"Hand made in France" Coil chain handle is intact and has most of the gold. Measures approx. 9" wide. And 5 1/2" tall. This is large for a micro-beaded bag. Weighs 11.1 ounces. Handle drop is approx. 5 1/4" Clasp works very well. Metal frame fully functional and intact. Shows some wear. I could not find any bead damage. But there are 3 beads missing from the clasp(see closeup photo) and 3 missing from ... morethe top left corner of the frame. This is easily repaired if desired, but neither is immediately noticed. There are small patches of yellowing that show in the photos, but not so much to the human eye. The camera was fooled by the clear beads reflecting the fabric underneath and the threading of the beads. Considering the age of this magnificent bag. It is in incredible shape! Thanks for looking! My research found this handbag to be ca. 1920s. Gold satin interior. Very clean. Only a few age spots. Interior has 1 large and 2 small pockets. Inside label says"Hand made in France" Chain handle is intact. But has lost most of the gold paint. Measures approx. 7 1/2" wide. And 6" tall. Weighs 10 ounces. Handle drop is approx. 5" Clasp works very well. Metal frame fully functional and intact. Shows wear. I could not find any bead damage or missing beads. The flower centers and parts of the leaves are gold beads. There are pink and blue beads mixed with pearls on the top embellishment. Say hello to this beautiful fabulous vintage bag! This is genuine vintage. I'm guessing from the 30's or 40's. It is hand made by the one and only Freddy of Paris, who won the hearts of so many American women looking to add a bit of Parisian chic to their wardrobes. This darling little clutch measures just over 8 inches at its widest point. And about 5 inches high. It's covered in tiny white seed beads, with clear beads that form an all over diamond pattern, and the palest little flowers in blue, pink and yellow. The clasp and chain are gold-colored, and the interior is creamy white silk. The inside of the gold clasp has left the slightest discoloration on the silk just underneath it, and there might be a speck or two of discoloration here and there, but overall this interior is so clean I would say it looks unused. All labels ... moreare intact, as well. The frame opens and closes easily. With no flaws. The beadwork itself is in need of minor repair, and I have photographed the spots, all on the bottom of the purse, where beads have come loose. They are tiny beads that are missing, and it should be easy to have the repairs made. This bag is as chic now as the day it was made. It sparkles like a new snowfall. It's clean and has been lovingly cared for, just a sweet treasure from the 30's or 40's. This would make a beautiful, inspired bridesmaid's gift. All 3 are fully lined. Seem to have all their beads and are in very good to excellent condition. But it looks like this glass dresser box should have a lid. The base is so beautiful that I thought it may be valuable to a collector or to someone with a lid and no base. The Clear Glass Tray is beaded. Swirled and is heavy. I do not see any chips or cracks in the glass. There are very, very, very fine scratches on the bottom, but they may even buff out when cleaned. There is some minor discoloration on satin lining and tiny indentations from the beads when the purse has been closed. Purse has 2 snap closure. Overall in really nice condition. Measures 8" w x 6" hi. It appears most all beads are intact. there are about 6 or 8 missing, not super noticable as there are so many beads on the bag. I am guessing this is from the 1920's. THIS IS A LOVELY ANTIQUE BEADED PURSE MADE IN FRANCE. IT IS MADE OF OPAQUE WHITE BEADS AND HAS FAN DESIGN OF PEARL BEADS ON FRONT AND ON THE BACK THE WHITE BEADS ARE SEWN IN A FAN PATTERN TO REFLECT THE FRONT DESIGN. OLD PATINA ON BRACKET AND CHAIN. THERE IS VERY MINOR BEAD LOSS AROUND BRACKET EDGE THAT IS CLEARLY SHOWN ON CLOSE UP PHOTOS. THERE ARE A FEW WEAR SPOTS ON INSIDE LINING.
