Offering a vintage American Indian watch-chain necklace with nice Victorian silver watch. Ca. 1890-1900. Watch is not working, but it may have just been wound too tight. Small spot of rust on face which can probably be removed with care. Serial# on watch: 14382. No makers name. Marked inside, 800 Silber. Sylindre 6 rubies. weight of watch- 3/4 oz without chain] Face has tiny gold dots for minute marks. Back of watch bears monogram(undetermined letters inside a shield) within an ornate leaf design. Back is framed with a small fancy, scroll-design frame which has a gold tone as does the stem and bow. This 54-inch chain is fantastic! There seems to have been a small repair on a spot near paper clip in scan. But it is strong and only noticeable under magnification. In the same scan I tried to show the amazing beads from which it has been crafted. ... moreSome are plain red, a few black, cut steel, and the majority in a wonderful red,white and blue bead. I find it remarkable that these red and blue stripes could be fired into such tiny glass beads. The chain itself is 1/4" wide(5 beads across) which tells you how tiny they are. The combination makes the piece"read" gray, black and red. I do not know the origin of this piece. But it was found in my mother's things when she passed away in 1991. She was an incurable packrat.
