I purchased this necklace for $150 from a well-respected antique jewelry dealer who told me it is from the late 1920s or early 1930s. The necklace is composed of nine(9) sizable pieces of black glass in graduated size separated by ten(10) black faceted glass beads. Eleven(11) round glass beads on each side complete the circle to the"gold" closure. The necklace measures approximately 18" end to end. Sparkling faceted clear and black glass beads, 4 strands all the same length at 16" The black beads are approximately 1/4" wide, the largest clear beads are approximately 1/2" wide and the smaller clear beads are 3/8" wide. There are gold-tone spacers as well as rondelle spacers with rhinestone accents. The sturdy insert clasp has a lovely clear stone accent. Relatively heavy at almost 5 ounces. Handmade with cut glass seed beads. Each tassel is about 2-7/8 inches long overall and has 8 fringes/dangles. The ball at the top is slightly over 1/2 inch in diameter. Can be used for trim on antique beaded purses. Clothing, crafts, or other items of your choice. Please note these are not hanks of beads. Great condition.
