The case has detailed raised scroll work and crosses on both sides and is 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" It is well made and sturdy. The rosary is 15" dangling with a 20" diameter necklace. The crucifix is 1 3/4" tall by 1" wide. It tested as 14k plating and is either brass or bronze beneath. Beautiful. Christ Jesus on Cross made in Mexico signed on back. I do not know how old this item is. It is in wonderful condition. Tapping it makes a sound like hollow metal and there are rust spots on the back. There are a few minor chips which show a plaster composite material underneath. It measures approximately 22" by 13" It is heavy but I believe it is somewhat hollow. I am not an expert in this field. I do not do returns unless item is not as pictured or described. Vintage Artist Marked L.Taxco. 925 Made in Mexico, has a#3 in the bell hallmark, Sterling Silver With Real Red Stones in the Cross, could be red amethysts or Red Glass not sure( needs to be checked out by jeweler) Attached to the cross is a.800 Silver Chain that has a 13-1/2" drop to the top of the cross. The cross is 3-1-2" long x 2-3/4" wide. The cross has some slight imperfections& old repair to the back as shown in pictures 3 and 2. For sale is a crucifix i bought in Germany at a cathedral in 1972. It's about 4 1/2 inches long. With a metal loop on the top. It's been sitting in a drawer since i bought it. I'm guessing that the material is stainless steel( since it shines and never tarnishes) or some chrome plated metal, and the insert black part is ebony.definitely wood. It could use a good home. This is a beautifully made. Large, wall crucifix that came from a church in the 1940's. I don't have any more information than that, but you can imagine that since the 40's were such a turbulent time, this must have quite a story. The wood is oak and I've been told the statue and plaque above the statue are bronze. The measurements for this work of art are: 30" tall, 15" wide, 3" deep.
