Vintage sick call and/or Last Rites Catholic crucifix. I'm unsure of the age of this beautiful item. The wood is either Mahogany or Walnut. It measures about 12.5" tall and 7.25" wide. It is in excellent shape for its' age; with only minor faint signs of wear from being hung on a wall on the backside. This is a very heavy crucifix and has wonderful workmanship with the wood. The crucifix is made of solid wood and there is a water bottle and 2 candles that are still sealed inside. Cross can be hung on a wall as there is a mounting hole on the reverse side. This has the holy water bottle, instructions, and a cloth and paper medallion marked copyright 1936 by Apostleship Of Prayer. It is in good condition and has one small chip at the bottom of the cross. The candles are missing but can be easily replaced. Measures 13-1/4" tall by 7-1/2" wide by 2-1/2" deep. Last Rites or Sick Call,comprised of two layers it comes apart and inside has storage for 2 candles and holy water bottle, the top piece will stand in the bottom, or can be together and hung on wall, cross measures 13" h x 7.75" wide. Religious Catholic Last Rites Sacrament Set Box Cross Holy Water Bottle Candles
Religious LAST RITE Box. Priests would visit the dying to give them their Last Sacraments. Box is walnut wih dovetailed corners. Measures 11" x 6 3/4" x2/2" Inside is a small wooden crucifix measuring 6 3/8" x 3" x 1/4" thick. There are 2 used candles appro 5" tall. There is a HOLY WATER bottle measuring 3 1/4" tall x 1" wide x 5/8" deep. Also there are 2 metal dishes measuring 4 1/2" across x 1/2" high. The linen cloth looks new. Along with the above is a wad of cotton to dab on the holy water.

Vintage CRUCIFIX Wood Sick Room Last Rites Religious Original Candles Oil Cloth
This vintage sick room crucifix has the candles. Holy oil, cloth, and directions/prayers still wrapped in the original celophaine. The cross is of solid wood with"pockets" carved for storage of the items noted above, two holes for the candles to stand when being used, and a third hole for the crucifix to stand vertically when in use or for display. The finish of the wood does show some wear; on the top. Flat surface of the crucifix the gold colored decorative lines are worn away in areas along the legs and continuing down toward the bottom. There is an area on the left side where the wood is a bit discolored. The"INRI" at the top is a metal piece that is firmly attached. The metal Jesus is firmly attached. The finish of the gold-tone paint is worn. The top piece of the cross slides pretty freely to be removed and can then ... morebe placed to stand vertically. The holes for the candles are surrounded by metal pieces that were also gold-toned, now aged and darkened. The wrapped packet of candles. Tiny glass holy oil bottle, cloth, and paper instructions has not been opened but an area(about and inch in length and a little smaller in width) of the wrap where the candles and cap meet is missing. The oil has slowly leaked out over the years and the cloth and back of the wrap is yellowed. Given my description to bring these details to your attention, this is a nice vintage religious relic.
