This is an antique vintage crucifix that is Catholic. From around the 1950's. Made of wood with a metal Jesus, I think it might be made of bronze? and INRI at the top. Cross measures 12" tall by 6 1/2" wide at widest point. In great shape, only a couple mild scuff marks on the wood. This has been in the family for decades. Vintage Wall Brass Crucifix Cross INRI 10"x5"x1" Catholic Jesus Christ
I am selling a 10" by 5" brass crucifix. Sorry for the glare in some of my pictures. This is a very shiny item. It is nicely detailed. The cross has"INRI" at the top. There are a few light scratches. My Mother has this hung on the inside of the front door above. She always said"No Illness will come across our Door thresh-hall" This mahogany wooden Crucifix hangs easily on the wall or can be placed flat on a table keeping the Crucifix upright mounted onto its wooden base. The front part slides to open and reveals a Secret compartment which contains a Blessed Payer for Illness and the desperate. There are two holes on each upper side to hold two candles(not included) The Prayer paper has yellowed due to age and time hidden inside the Cross The paper is somewhat brittle but readable. Lot of Catholic Crucifix Statue INRI Madonna Jesus on Cross Ivory Plastic Bronze
4 Beautiful vintage Catholic items. Two of them are made of cast plastic. INRI on the one with Jesus on the cross and GR on the bottom back of the Mary statue, figure. The other two crosses are very old. One also says INRI on the top, dark black wood with ivory colored plastic Jesus. The other is a wood, possibly olive, with a cast bronze of Jesus on the cross. The largest piece is the plastic one with the three figures, it measures 7.25" x 4.25" There is some chipping of the paint on the black cross and a small chip on the bottom back of the Mary figure, see photo of the bottom back. A substantial piece measuring 19" x 11" and weighing approximately 4 pounds. The beautiful gold braided cord with tassel and rosette has a hook and hanger on the back to securely display it. A lovely vintage crucifix. Nice vintage condition with normal age related wear with some spots on the silver. No breaks or repairs.
