13" x 7 1/2" 13" Wood Wall Last Rites Sick Call Crucifix Catholic Cross Pearl Description: Vintage Wood Crucifix Measures 13" x 7.5" This is a lovely vintage metal with wood vintage wall hanging crucifix. It weighs 15 oz. Almost a pound! The front of the crucifix has a laminated faux mother of pearl. The corpus of Christ is cast in plastic with a smooth and clean surface. It includes an empty bottle for holy water. Candles& instructions paper. It is in very good condition& has never been used with a few. Minor scratches on the back of the cross.

Hi.This is a beautiful vintage wooden sick call/last rites crucifix complete with all its contents.This crucifix slides open ro reveal 2 candles with the candle holders,a square piece of linen and a glass holy water bottle with bakelite cap. This was given to my wife by a neighbor years ago.Who's brother was a priest.It hangs on the wall until needed.They take them to the bedsides of people who are very sick or are given there last rites.They set them up and have service no matter where the person is,at home,hospital or etc. It is a wonderful size made of solid wood and metal with a gold finish on Jesus and other accents on the cross as shown.It measures 17 inches tall.11 inches wide& 3 inches deep.A beautiful piece and would also make a wonderful gift. Vtg Catholic Sick Call Set Wall Crucifix COMPLETE
We have up for bid A VINTAGE CATHOLIC LAST RITES SICK CALL SET COMPLETE AND AS SHOWN IN PHOTOS. It doubles as a sick room last rite set and believe it dates to the 1950's or 60's. The wood looks nice can't say if it is maple. Cherry or walnut. The crucified JESUS is made of some type hard plastic. The wood lid slides up to open and lifts off to a cut out in the cross that holds a bottle of holy water(evaporated) and two small candles with an instruction paper sheet. There are two holders for the candles. I see no problems with it other than on the back where it was against the wall there are a few very minor marks. I didn't clean it and my photos may show a little dust in the grooves along the sides and bottom. This item measures approximately 12 1/2" high and 7 1/2" wide and made to hang on the wall. Old Catholic Last Rites Sick Call Box Crucifix Holy Water Candle Communion Glass
This is an old catholic last rites sick call box. I am unsure of the age. From the look of the box. It appears to be at least 25 years old. It is made of wood with metal hinges on the top and a metal hook and eye closure on the front. The inside is lined with a satin like material. It includes a wooden crucifix with metal details, two candles, a communion glass, and a glass and metal holy water bottle. The box, candles, communion glass, and water bottle are all in the same condition. The crucifix appears to be much newer. Measurements: Box- 14" long. 9 1/2" wide, 6" tall. Crucifix- 3 1/4" long. 2 1/4" wide, 7" tall. Candles- 12" tall. 3/4" wide. Holy Water- 3" long. 2" wide, 3" tall. Communion Glass- 3" tall. 2 1/4" wide. Good Vintage Condition.

Vintage sick call and/or Last Rites Catholic crucifix. I'm unsure of the age of this beautiful item. The wood is either Mahogany or Walnut. It measures about 12.5" tall and 7.25" wide. It is in excellent shape for its' age; with only minor faint signs of wear from being hung on a wall on the backside. This is a very heavy crucifix and has wonderful workmanship with the wood. The crucifix is made of solid wood and there is a water bottle and 2 candles that are still sealed inside. Cross can be hung on a wall as there is a mounting hole on the reverse side. For your consideration is this vintage Last Rites/ Sick Call cross set. Included is the cross box as well as 2 candles and small glass holy water bottle. The cross is wood and Jesus as well as the INRI sign I'm pretty sure are plastic. Cross measures approximately 13 1/4" high x 7 1/2" across x 1 3/4" wide(this width measurement is just the wood portion and does not include Jesus) This piece comes in the original box as pictured. Box shows some fading/ marks here and there but is wonderful to have with this piece. Overall very nice vintage condition but please note: I do not believe this has been used other than hanging on the wall but I am not 100% sure. There is some dust on the piece which would benefit from a cleaning as well as some scuffs on the back where hole is to hang. Vintage 1940s Last Rites Crucifix- Complete. Very large and well made. This is an extremely well made vintage Last rites/sick call crucifix. It measures approximately 16 1/2 inches long. And is very heavy and ornate. This features real wood construction instead of the pressboard or even plastic you see on more modern versions. Likewise, the figure of Jesus is very solid, heavy, and well sculpted. The metal accents are also exceptionally ornate. This seems to have never been used, and includes the original Holy Water bottle and two large wax candles. The holy water has evaporated over time, but the bottle is in fantastic condition. This has the holy water bottle, instructions, and a cloth and paper medallion marked copyright 1936 by Apostleship Of Prayer. It is in good condition and has one small chip at the bottom of the cross. The candles are missing but can be easily replaced. Measures 13-1/4" tall by 7-1/2" wide by 2-1/2" deep. VINTAGE METAL CRUCIFIX & WOOD CROSS SICK CALL/LAST RIGHTS CANDLE HOLDER
Up for sale is a VINTAGE INRI METAL CRUCIFIX& WOOD CROSS SICK CALL/LAST RIGHTS CANDLE HOLDER This crucifix and cross was stored in my father's garage. It probably belonged to my grandparents who were Catholic. I was raised Presbyterian. This cross is approximately 2.5" high x 7.5 wide x 13.25" long. This item is in fair condition. However. The patina has rubbed off various parts of Jesus. It looks like Jesus' head could be brass, but the body appears to be a different material. I can't locate a makers mark. The top wood piece freely slides over the wood base revealing two candle holes and a storage place for the candles which contains wax residue. The top may slide all the way off, but gets stuck and I didn't want to force it. There's a back hole to hang this piece on the wall. This piece was stored in a ... morenon-smoking home. Vintage Sick Call kit, cross, crucifix, last rites, Catholic, INLAID WOOD!
Offered at auction here is an excellent. Wall hanging crucifix which included a complete vintage sick call kit. It would hang in a home so that it would be available if needed during a priest's visit to someone's sickbed. The front crucifix piece is attached to the back cross with a snap(see second last photo) The back piece is hollowed out to contain a bottle for holy water, two beeswax candles, and a folded paper instruction sheet. What sets this apart from most other cross sick call kids, is the INLAID WOOD superbly put in the front cross. The cross is 12" x 7" and the whole kit is in absolutely wonderful condition. Vintage Pearlized Celluloid and Metal Large Wall Crucifix Sick Call Circa 1940s
Very nice vintage circa 1940s wall crucifix or sick call/last rites use. It is mounted on light yellow painted wood with yellow pearlized celluloid and filigree metal accents. The Christ figure is metal as well. Metal is brass or brass colored. Filigree is delicate and intricate. There are two small nicks. One in the celluloid under the filigree on the lower left, and one on the same side in the wood on the side near at the bottom edge. Some wear is evident and normal.The celluloid is starting to lift from the wood a little, but it is kept on by the metal pieces. This is not detracting. It measures 15" long x 7 3/4" wide. A bottle for Holy Water and the instruction sheet for preparing for the priest. The kit total measures 13 x 7 1/2 and the crucifix alone measures 11 1/2 x 6 and 1 3/4 wide. It is made of wood.
