Portable Sick Call Kit Here is a vintage antique portable sick call kit packaged in a convenient thermoplastic carry case and contain almost everything needed to administer services to a sick or home-bound person. The kit contains a small crucifix. A small holy water bottle, two small candle holders, a piece of unused cotton pad and a 7 1/2" square unused white cloth. Also included is a 61-page booklet containing instructions for sick calls and prayers with imprimatur for the sacred service. Vintage cross crucifix Sick Call kit last rites Catholic wood Excellent
Excellent. Wall hanging crucifix which includes a complete vintage sick call kit. While it's a beautiful piece of art for any home. It most likely would hang in a Catholic home where it would always be available if needed during a priest's visit to someone's sickbed. The front crucifix piece is attached to the back cross with a snap. The back piece is made to contain a bottle for holy water. Two beeswax candles, and a folded paper instruction sheet. The cross is 12" x 7" and the whole kit is in excellent condition for a vintage piece. Top is a little lighter than the base. The candles have been used and the holy water bottle is empty. Includes instructions.

Vintage Catholic Walnut Wall Crucifix Last Rites Priest Sick Call Kit 1960s
Vintage 1960's Catholic Walnut Wall Crucifix Last Rites Priest Sick Call Kit and Wall Hanging Set was used by a priest for use in anointing the sick and for last rites. The crucifix was also meant to be used as a wall hanging. This particular crucifix was given to an ailing parishioner in the New Haven. Connecticut area in the 1960s. The crucifix measures approximately 13 1/2 inches high and 7 1/2 inches wide. It is made with walnut wood with front panel pieces made of faux mother of pearl. Trim pieces and the statuary of Jesus are polished metal. When the top section of the crucifix is removed. The base has a compartment. The compartment for this crucifix contains two never used beexwax candles, a small holy water bottle, a white cotton ball-like material(faded and old) and a green sheet of directions for use(brittle and folded) Other ... morecondition issues: The body of Jesus is missing some of the gold finish at the chest and on one of the legs. The small holy water bottle is empty. In addition. According to the instructions, this crucifix used to also include a small linen cloth. The cloth is MISSING from this set. The faux mother of pearl has started to slightly curve up due to typical aging. The wood has about five few very minor scuffs and dents(less than 1/8 inch long for each) Overall. This is a beautiful crucifix set and would work wonderfully as a wall hanging or part of a home prayer altar.
