Offered for sale is a Darling Ethan Allen Vintage Maple Heirloom Hitchcock Hand Decorated Console and Matching Mirror. This console is item#14-9216 in the#604 White Decorated with Nutmeg finish and the mirror is item#14-9217. The two pieces were manufactured in 1986 and can be found on page#168 of the 86th edition of the Ethan Allen Treasury of Beautiful Home Interiors. The console measures 30" high x 30" wide x 13" deep and the framed mirror measures 24" x 36" high. Overall the mirror is in excellent condition. The console is in excellent condition on the outside but does have staining in the drawer and inside the cabinet. There is also a quarter-sized spot inside the cabinet where the paint peeled off. Beautiful John Widdicomb console table/chest with tambour door in the front. Really unique piece. Has the original marble top included. The marble is a white, gray and slightly greenish movement in it. The wood is mahogany. There is a shallow drawer at the top center which can be removed in order to stow your cable box(I show photos of it with the drawer in and without the cable box in) Below this drawer is a gorgeous tambour door that opens to reveal 4 useable pull out drawers. There are two more drawers, one to each side and a cabinet beneath each. There are shelves in the cabinet(three) The legs and hardware are brass. The condition is excellent-there is a small chip to the finish on the middle top drawer that is right next to the drawer pull. Vintage Drexel Heritage Console/Hall Cabinet and Mirror ~excellent condition
This is an absolutely beautiful vintage factory distressed hand painted console/ hall cabinet. It has a variety of uses other than in a entry or hallway. It could be used as a night table. Offering a full length mirror to dress by and reflecting light in the room. This piece could also be used without the detachable mirror as a end table beside a chair or sofa. And the mirror could be used with a dresser. It was originally purchased new in the early 1960's by my father without the mirror. He used it as a console in his entry and added the mirror. The cabinet is made by Drexel Heritage. We do not know the manufacturer of the mirror. The two pieces go so well together that everyone has thought they were a set and we have always used them together since the 1960's. Being sold together. Only 1 available.
