Lenoir, North Carolina-the underside of the table is also stamped: Oval Table-Cherry-29-etc. Made of Cherry wood-medium, chestnut brown stain allows for much of the grain in the wood to show. Set consisted of table with removable center piece-5 regular chairs and one captain's chair with arms-hutch and buffet. I bought these 20 years ago and now am getting different furniture. I had the seats professionally reupholstered long ago to match my decor(olive green/goldish print)I have always kept seat pads on the chairs when in use-so the seats are in great condition. Table measures 58" x 40" x 30 1/2" tall-with an additional center piece that measures 12" wide. The Hutch is 47" x 15" x 70" tall. The Buffet is 57" x 17 1/2" x 30 1/3" tall. Overall very nice condition-normal wear for being 84 years old. Some things I would mention are that the wood color of the center piece section is darker than the rest of the table, it was like that when I bought it-possible meant for contrast or maybe because it was stored out of the light)also a slice of the corner wood has broken off as can be seen the the picture-back rt corner of section. Also-a bit of wood had chipped off the top corner of the table leg(tiny but I mention it to be exact-not seen from the top) The legs screw off with attachment bolts to remove them for storage. Also, one chair missing a decorative wood curve on front leg-shown in pic. Also- scratch on table top-6" and 1 1/2"shown in last pic. If I missed something-please ask. The color of the hutch in the first pic is the true color-rich and beautiful. The chairs and the cabinet are all pretty strong. No painfully obvious wobble in the chairs. The table top is a very shiny washable surface that might be a plastic laminate of some sort. There is a leaf for the table. You get four chairs and the china cabinet. Now about that china cabinet. With the exception of the carving in the top drawer this looks a lot like Danish modern to me. If the carving on the china hutch didn't match the carving in the chairs I might have thought it was from another set altogether. So there you have it. What I know for sure. Instead of me making up a bunch more stuff. It might be better if you'd just ask me questions if you feel the need. Young Hinkle was known for quality furniture items from the 50's and 60's and is still in high demand for those looking for a vintage feel. Young Hinkle was known for its bedroom furniture so finding a buffet and hutch is far less common. I searched the internet and did not see another. The pictures depict ONE complete set. The main base piece has 2 small pull out drawers. 4 medium pull out drawers and 2 cabinet openings with adjustable shelving ... morewithin them. The hutch has 2 cabinet openings. One pull out drawer and 3 tiers with lots of display space. Sizing: When the hutch is attaches. The whole unit stands 75" tall, 54" wide, and 18" depth. The lower alone is(32½"H. 54"W, 18"D) The Hutch is(~42.5"H, 51¼"W, 10½"D) Condition: Excellent for its age. There is a broken knob on the left cabinet door(base piece) This can easily be replaced. There is slight separation in the panel groove of that same cabinet door with the broken knob. This can also be easily remedied. Part of the panel backing of the main unit needs a couple taps of the hammer. Finally there is some ceiling paint residue on the top panel(out of view) atop the hutch piece. As in the other things. Offered for sale is an Ethan Allen Vintage Classic Manor Maple/Birch Three Door Buffet and China Cabinet Hutch. This lovely china cabinet/buffet is item#15-6006/15-6008 and was manufactured in the1960's I believe. The Ethan Allen logo which is stamped in the drawer uses a font that was used in the 1960's. The buffet and china cabinet can be found on page#93 of the 68th edition Ethan Allen Treasury of American Traditional Interiors. This buffet features three doors with a removable and adjustable shelf behind two right doors; three tray drawers behind left facing door; and the upper drawer fitted with Pacific cloth silver tray; see pics#4. 5) The china cabinet features removable and adjustable wood framed glass shelves behind crowned glass doors; grooved base plate rails for display of dishes; built in light for display purposes. The ... moremeasurements of the china cabinet top are 56.5" wide at the top of the crown x 46" high x 14.75" deep. The buffet measures 56" wide x 30" high x 19" deep. Overall measurements are 76" high x 56.5" wide x 19" deep. The china cabinet and buffet are in excellent condition with the following exceptions: there are scratches on the top of the buffet(see pic#6. 7) which are mostly covered by the china top and a couple chips along the bottom base. There is a stain in the middle left tray drawer(see pic#9) and there is a red appx. 1" round stain on the interior buffet cabinet(see pic#8) Also, someone had tape on the wood(probably in the 60's or 70's) that left some residue on a couple areas of the door fronts. I was not able to capture a picture of this because the tape seems to have become part of the finish. I have discounted the price to reflect these cosmetic issues. Ethan Allen describes their Classic Manor collection as"reflecting such 18th Century design influences as Queen Anne. Sheraton and Duncan Phyfe. It is shorter than the standard tops for the CRP bases. This top was mounted on the 34" extension table from the CRP. Which I no longer want. Approximately 32.5"W X 28"H. Base sticks out 14" Middle shelf 7" deep with double plate groove. Top shelf 5" deep with 1 plate groove Hard Rock Maple- weighs a lot. But is VERY durable. No unusual wear. Very good condition. Vintage Rock Maple China Hutch Kitchen Cabinet with Glass Doors, 1960s old
This is a pretty old china cabinet or hutch made of solid maple. This one looks particularly nice because of the six pane glass doors on top. This well made piece of American furniture from the early 1960s has only had one owner. It has a spoon rail and two wide drawers.The drawers are dovetailed and the hardware is heavy. It is 45 inches wide. 19 1/2 inches deep, and 74 inches tall. This cabinet was well taken care of and is from a non-smoking home. It is in great condition. It has a small area with light scratches on the top under the spoon rail, and some scuffing on the feet. It also has a red wax stain inside the cabinet, hidden by the door. This cabinet has the perfect mix of hidden storage space and display space.
