$60.00 Shipping Condition: Used Location: Mooresville, United States This is an old favorite of mine.Small enough to be very versatile.My mother was a librarian and I have her large 60 and 72 drawer units from her library ... morebut this guy is a real treasure.The larger units are from the 60s, this guy with it's dovetailed joints goes back to the 1890s. Each drawer has the 1892 and 1894 patent date on them.The Library Bureau Sole Makers Company was in business from the early 1880s to about 1925.I guess the library in the 1890s had to be the only gateway to the world and the hands that were in these drawers.Very nice old patina and there are a few issues but not major and easily addressed and fixable with low expense.There is a piece along the right rear back panel which is not really visible from the front.A couple drawers have some cracks and one has a piece of the rear panel gone but every issue is repairable and I have not altered or repaired anything so you are dealing with the original item.No screws or glue added but it could use some skill to keep it original.There was tape used on the exterior over the years and those are the shadows you see in the photographs.The shadow of the ring on the top was put there by the original librarian so I had a place to put my coffee cup.It is a really cool piece and soundly built.Another 100 years is no problem with this guy. Each drawer has the 1892 and 1894 patent date on them.The Library Bureau Sole Makers Company was in business from the early 1880s to about 1925.I guess the library in the 1890s had to be the only gateway to the world and the hands that were in these drawers.Very nice old patina and there are a few issues but not major and easily addressed and fixable with low expense.There is a piece along the right rear back panel which is not really visible from the front.A couple drawers have some cracks and one has a piece of the rear panel gone but every issue is repairable and I have not altered or repaired anything so you are dealing with the original item.No screws or glue added but it could use some skill to keep it original.There was tape used on the exterior over the years and those are the shadows you see in the photographs.The shadow of the ring on the top was put there by the original librarian so I had a place to put my coffee cup.It is a really cool piece and soundly built.Another 100 years is no problem with this guy. Vintage Oak Library Card Catalog Made Into a Coffee Table w/Custom Glass Top
For your consideration. A great antique card catalog that I made into a coffee table. I added some stubby feet and had a custom glass top made for it. Not only is a great coffee table, but it's wonderful for storage. The condition is excellent and you'd hardly know it was an antique. I got it in CT about ten years ago; I think it came from a school. I'm not certain of the age but I would estimate around 1950's or 60's. I put a piece of wood with veneer on the top for a more finished look(since these were stacked it had no top veneer) The whole thing is very clean with a nice golden oak finish, and it's super sturdy. What's also nice is that the drawers have bottoms so you can put small things in them and they won't fall out(other card catalogs have slots in the bottom and stuff falls through) Each drawer also ... morehas a sliding support that you can use to divide each drawer into two sections. The frame and drawer fronts are oak wood and the inner drawers are made of metal that is an olive green color. The rods on all of these drawers don't match completely. One set is all of a pewter colored hexagon shaped knob and the second set has random rods in both(3)brass and(12)another metal in the pewter color family. A bit of an eclectic mixture to be sure. Vintage Wood Mid-century Library Card Catalog Remington office system cabinets
Great vintage 1950s-1960s Midcentury library card catalog made by Remington Rand-Library Division. Cabinet is in nice condition with some expected scrapes. Nicks, scratches, etc-but overall VERY NICE. All the pulls and card holders are present, including the interior adjustable clips for holding index cards. The center drawer pull is a little different than the others not sure if it is supposed to be like that, check out picture 2. Measures about 41x33x17" Top is removable for use with other stackable sections. Drawers pull in and out flawlessly with no rubbing or tightness. The back has small veneer chip, it shown in the last picture but does not affect performance or aesthetic. The top looks like someone put tape on the top at one point in time light marks left from it.

This vintage Brodart wooden library card catalog(sometimes also called an apothecary style cabinet by people) could be great for storing crafts. Art supplies, tools, etc. or just looking cool. It has 72 drawers with library labels and beautiful brass pulls, plus 3 middle pull-out trays. The card catalog is a birch color(and I suspect actually birch, but I don't know enough about wood to say for sure. It measures 17.5"D x 40"W x 65"H. I got it from one of the US Geological Services libraries in Denver. Where it made its home since at LEAST the 1970s. It was even still in use until pretty recently! Here’s a rare opportunity for someone in need of a set of antique oak card catalogs. It's BUY-IT-NOW. No waiting. These are for PICK UP only. You are buying 1 72 drawer units. Measurements are about 19 1/2” X 31 1/4” X 51” They are in the same type of antique condition. Some have scuffs and show normal wear for their age and use. Usually this type sat on a base which would have been side by side with the other units. The tops are not finished because a huge plank of oak would have gone across all of them. The sides and drawer front are solid oak. Not oak plywood and the inner drawers are maple with dovetail joinery. The hardware is brass with it’s century old patina. All will require some clean up, but they all work properly. Nearly all the drawer fronts are flat but some may be angled up. Vintage Gaylord bros Wooden School Library Card Catalog On Stand 20 Drawer
Good condition vintage wooden card catalog from a school library. Gaylord brothers. It's in 4 pieces. The bottom is a recessed table. Then two drawer sections then a topper. They all fit together and stack secured by metal clips that are hidden when it is all put together. This is blond wood with very little grain. Brass handles and has the rods on the insides. The top can be removed and another drawer section added. When all together it is 46" tall 33" wide and 17" deep. It's is good shape with only minor scratches and wear.
