Large Antique Victorian Crucifix Brass Rosewood
This is an authentic antique 18th-19th century Victorian crucifix that fine mental floral ornamentation on rosewood and a brass/metal framing. The cross has cherubs on each ending and in in every regard highly detailed. It looks like that his crucifix has been in a fire as marks from high heat are visible. Please not that there is some minor damage on some of the ornamentations in the cross. On the right. Left, and top ornamentation that holds the cherub one out of three screws is missing. This is not a problem as the parts are held very well with the available screws. The back of the crucifix is dominantly plain wood in the metal framing and has a solid structure on which the cross can be hang on the wall. Antique VICTORIAN WHITBY JET, SILVER & BRONZE CRUCIFIX CROSS Large 4"
ITEM On offer we have this amazing antique 19th/ 20th century crucifix cross necklace pendant. The cross is over 4" high and heavy which leads us to believe that it is bronze inlaid with Whitby Jet. Or perhaps bog oak. The weight of the item makes it impossible to ascertain if the jet inlay is light in weight. However the black inlay was carefully tested to gain a'streak' result, which was dark brown/ black. There is also a slight'grain' evident which rules out glass, vulcanite etc. and is consistent with unpolished jet or bog oak, though bog oak would tend to be lighter in colour. We were unable to find any marks on the detailed figure of Christ but the metal has tested positive for silver. A rare and collectable antique crucifix. Materials: Bronze. Silver and Whitby Jet(please see above for details) Period/ Style: Antique ... moretraditional style- Victorian or earlier Marks/ Hallmarks: None found Designer/ Maker: Unknown Dimensions/ Weight: 10.6 x 4.9cm(4.1 x 1.9 inches) max Fastenings/ Clasps: None Further Information: Please note that we haven't cleaned the cross. But have left it'as found' The silver is tarnished to the recesses of the design and the bronze has acquired the rich, nutty patina of age. GORGEOUS antique 12K gold filled CROSS on 12K GF chain marked VICTORIAN styleWOW
This is a very nice piece of probably Victorian era jewelry. A signed gold filled cross with etched designs on a marked gold filled chain. The chain laid out end to end measures 19 1/2" The cross measures 3/4" across and 1 3/8" long including chain loop. Condition is very good to excellent. The new owner may want to clean it to a high shine. This is marked on the back bottom of the cross, and also has an A in a triangle logo, I'm not sure what that is. Also this is marked on the clasp of the chain. Age I would say is 1890-1920? But the style of it goes right back to the 1880's. Antique Cast Iron Crucifix Late French Victorian "Serpent and Urn" Tall Heavy
You may be bidding on this magnificent cast iron crucifix that was in all likelihood made in the 20's or 30's. I was given these dates by the dealers who were selling off an estate for an old San Francisco family. This cross is 38 inches tall. 22 inches across and weighs about 17 pounds. On the bottom third, a serpent is coiled around an urn. Rays of light emanate from the interior corners and ornate decor adorns the 2 arms and head of the crucifix. I could see trailing roses wrapped around this piece.

Antique 1900's Edwardian Victorian 12k gf Etched Cross Crucifix- Christian Relic
Beautiful old Edwardian cross in 12k gf(1/20 12k) with intricate etching on the front. Very well made Edwardian Victorian piece from the early 1900's in beautiful vintage condition. The cross is about 41mm x 23mm(about 1 5/8" x 7/8" and a nice heavy 5.5g. This would make a lovely gift to be put on a chain or can be added to a rosary. Check out my! Be sure to add me to your! Ornate Vintage Antique Victorian Gothic Church Cross Crucifix The body of Christ and the"INRI" sign are metal that's painted silver. The cross is wood that's painted black. I purchased this crucifix from an antique store about 20 years ago. I was told that it had been removed from a fixture within a church thus the breaks that can be seen on both sides(does not detract from the piece but rather adds to its history) In this image of Jesus Christ. He's still alive on the cross and gazing upward. Puncture wound can be seen on his left side from a Roman soldier piercing his side with a spear. The ornate decorative design includes scalloping and leaves. It is a layered cross- a thinner layer lies on top of the more decorative layer. It appears by the bottom nail hole that it probably had a skull and crossbones at one time ... morewhich are missing. Wonderful age appropriate antique condition. 7" wide x 14" tall. Up for bids is this large Victorian 10k Cross pendant. It is very finely etched on one side with a beautiful pattern. The other side is simple. And looks as if there may have been something attached to it at one time. This is an impressive cross, measuring 2 1/2" tall, and 1 1/2" wide.
