Up for auction is one vintage"S" sign piece. This is one neat old"S" The main body looks to be made from tin/galvanized steel? And the red and gold look like maybe plastic? The main body was painted at some point maybe? The red and gold front is in decent shape for its age. It shows some scuffing on the red, and weathering on the top edges of the gold where the sun and weather hit it. However, it looks nice! The Front can be removed for access to the internals. Although, the neon is no longer inside: I am sure it would be easy to re install neon if so desired. It measures 22 1/4" tall. 11 1/4" wide, and 6" deep. It has various mounting holes, and is drilled for neon. It also only weighs just under 7lbs, so could be hung on a wall easily! Public demonstrations were supposed to prove that manufacturers' claims and advertisements were true. GIANT 3 FT SQUARE VINTAGE INDUSTRIAL RED STAR STEEL PANELS SIGNS DOOR NUMBERS

They are large(3 foot x 3 foot) heavy(10 kilos) steel panels which came from an old cold war army base. They were part of a massive shelving system. I have quite a few available at just £35 each. Each panel is painted in original institutional grey paint with fairly random numbers stencilled around the perimeter. To enhance their cold war chic. They have a large red star stencilled along with large numbers, you can specify whichever number you like, I also have them in plain grey. They all have scuffs, scrapes and rust. I've sold quite a few of these over the last few months. Generally, the swankier the customer's address, the scruffier they like their ... morepanels! They could be bolted side by side to create a gritty and industrial wall. Used as impressive front door numbers. Table tops or simply a decorative wall hanging, ideal if you collect fridge magnets but own a plastic fridge! They've featured in a few fashion photo shoots as props recently. This is a lot of 3 plastic channel letter lenses that make up the word"eat" The"e" alone measures about 13 1/2" wide. 13 1/2" tall, and 3/4" thick at the edge. They are used commercial letters. So they have wear, most noticeably the top of the"t" As you can see in the last photo that area has some damage, but it could be touched up with paint or just ignored. They have other scuffs& scratches, etc.but look pretty decent. I've had good luck painting plastic with regular spray paint if you want to go with a different color. I'm using the postage calculator on this. And sometimes it charges too much for postage. If you win, expect to pay whatever it states in the auction, and after it's shipped I will try to catch it if there is a substantial difference. If I don't please contact me.
