Sunderland Creamer Sunderland lustre ware is highly collectible. This creamer has a charming old house painted on it. It probably dates from the 1820-1830's and in spite of its age it is in fairly good shape. There is some wear on the rim and bottom. And some tiny scratches to the glaze. There is a crack on the lower part of the handle. It is an estate piece. The creamer is 3.75 inches(9.5 cm)high at the lip end and about 5.5 inches(14cm)long. RARE--Lovely Antique Ovington's Limoges Creamer by T&V--approx. 90 yrs old. NR!
Gorgeous Yellow Limoges Creamer-early 1920s-made expressly by T&V for Ovington's New York! Ovington's was a famous(some say notorious) store in New York that specialized in household decorative items and tableware. Originally founded as Ovington Brothers in 1849. It changed it's name to Ovington's in 1920. In its heyday, Ovington's was as famous and prestigeous as its jewelry making counterpart, Tiffany's. Unfortunately it doe not survive the economic woes of the Great Depression. Tressemann& Vogt was one of many factories doing business in Limoges. France the late 19th/early 20th century. They produced many pieces of white ware that were decorated elsewhere and decorated porcelain as well. Their marks consisted of both a green rectangular underglaze T&V white ware mark and a red bell overglaze decorating ... moremark. As shown in the second picture. In 1919 Martial Reynaud bought the company and continued using the T&V mark for a while as well as his own Reynaud mark. Ovington's often commissioned tableware patterns from the finest manufacturers to be made expressly for. And limited to. Ovington's. Thus Ovington's would have patterns that no one else had. This little creamer is one of those items, as the marks on the bottom indicate. I have not been able to discover the name of the pattern. This incredible little creamer stands approximately 5" tall and approximately 4 1/4" from the top of the handle to the tip of the spout. It is in pristine. Near perfect condition. The only wear and tear is some slight wear on the unglazed edges on the bottom where it would have sat on a table or shelf. We should all look so good when we hit 90 years of age. Collectors will recognize that this is a rare find! Beautiful. Intricate, antique porcelain sugar and creamer. Has a beautiful painted cobalt blue or glaze color with gold embellishment. You can see little intricate gold roses and flowers. There are flourishes and scrolls that surround the centerpiece picture of two ladies on both the creamer and sugar. There is wear on the gold of the handles and some wear on the trim. Both pieces are stamped with a blue underglaze stamp which dates from 1901 or before. Hand painted numbers and letters are also present with the RW stamp. W5679 and a T or a 4. Transfer print is of blue English roses and other geometric designs through out. There is also hand painted gold gilt accents. No chips or breaks on the sugar bowl. The lid has a small flake chip which does not distract and mentioned for accuracy. No chips or breaks on the creamer. There is some light stains at the bottom of the creamer and sugar. The creamer measures approximately 3 1/2 inches tall. 4 1/4 inches from end of spout to end of handle, 2 1/4 inches across at the base. The creamer is marked on the bottom with the MZ Austria mark that should date it to CA 1900, the signature that appears to read F. M. Gould(see photo#6) The creamer is in good condition; no chips. The condition is very nice. And the pattern is beautiful-is small colorful flowers and blue bows, draped with baskets of flowers with blue bows in center medallions. Check out the pictures. The tops are slightly scalloped, with an aqua/gold flower trim. This never had a lid, is an open sugar and creamer. These are standard table setting size, and have gold handles. Antique Victorian Copper Luster/Lustre China/Porcelain Creamer England 1800s
Up for auction is a lovely antique copper lustre creamer from a local estate. Made in the Staffordshire district. England, in the 1800s. The use of a copper compound in the glaze resulted in a metallic, copperlike surface. Decorated with two cobalt blue bands with a floral design. This piece really shines! The inside has a finished glaze, so the creamer can be used. I love the fluted handle. Bottom is unmarked. Measures 4" tall.
