I am selling my Independent Fabrication Titanium Crown Jewel Carbon. It's a few years old. But it looks brand new. I only rode this bike for about 500 miles as I have been away very often for work. I spared no expense when I built this one up. The frame is of course IF's top of the line titanium offering with the optional carbon seat stays, and it is a 57cm with sloping geometry. 57cm TT c-c, 54cm ST c-c) It was painted in a metallic emerald green, and white decals were used. Independent Fabrication Ti Crown Jewel Titanium 55cm Superb ride ti and carbon
Great deal on an Independent Fabrication Ti Crown Jewel. Not many of these IF titanium frame's pop up. So take your opportunity to get one at a super price. The top tube is 55.5cm and the seat tube is 53.5cm c-c and 57cm c-t. Head tube is 15cm. Black FSA 1 1/8" headset and True Temper Alpha Q full carbon fork with 2 3/4" of steerer included. These IF Ti Crown Jewel frames have an amazing carbon insert in the seat tube that enables the frame to take a 27.2 post and really dampens any road vibration not already sucked up by the titanium frame tubes. I'm the second owner of this frame and its just a tad too big for me. Otherwise I'd never let it go! Numerous tiny paint chips on the frame and the paint's chipped off around the area where the front derailleur clamps, but not a single ding, dent or significant damage anywhere ... moreon the frame or fork. It is in very good cosmetic and mechanical condition and has never been repaired or restored. There are a couple of pea-sized dings(visible in the photos) and a minor scuff on the front left below the keyboard. The bench seat shows normal wear. This is a custom built Independent Fabrications bicycle. Built in 2000 for the wife of one of the founders of the company. It has spent it's entire life in Dorchester, a stones throw from where their first bikes were built. It has been ridden only a couple times. The seat tube measures 14" from center to the top of the seat collar. 13" to the top of the top tube. The top tube measures 20" center to center. The chainstays measure 16 1/8" to the front end of the dropouts. The wheelbase is 39 1/2" The wheels are 26" mountain bike standard(559mm) It is made entirely of Reynolds 853 steel. It has SS couplers installed on the top and down tubes. And the lone cable to the rear of the bike has a threaded quick release mechanism. The lockring tool for the couplers is included with the bike. It has a threadless 1 1/8" ... morerigid fork. It has rear facing horizontal dropouts. It has an English threaded 68mm bottom bracket shell. It has rack/fender braze-ons on the front and rear dropouts and the seatstays. It has the following equipment installed on it: The 26" wheels are both built on 32 spoke Sun CR-18 rims. The front hub is a Shimano Deore LX Parallax quick release hub. It has a 170mm chapter ring with"Made in Germany" under the 6.The movement is a 8 day 5 jewel Kienzle, wound from the front with the crown key which fits into slot at top of case. It keeps good time, but can be adjusted if needed. The only obvious fault is the cream chapter ring has some marks on it(see photographs) Considering its age it is in excellent working condition and looks stunning. Vintage 1927 Buffs RAOB Gilt Metal & Enamel Jewel King's Crown Tudor Lodge
Please note that the photographs show the Jewel as being larger than it is in reality. The RAOB is a self help and charitable organisation. Run along the lines of the Masons. The medal itself and the top and bottom suspenders are in a gilt colored metal.The ribbon is in a darker green with lighter stripes near the edges. The top suspender is in the form of a buffaloe's horns. To the back of this there is a stick pin for attaching to a garment. The bottom suspender has the name of the RAOB lodge: YE OLDE TUDOR LDG 5673 and is decorated in an ornate style. To the front of the medallion there is a King's crown. The cushions being in-filled with red enamel and then an ornate floral scrolling decoration with a shield at its centre, the shield having an image of a kangaroo to it; around the shield is a ring of blue enamel with the words ... moreupon it: GRAND LODGE OF ENGLAND. The rear of the medallion has the name of the recipient to it: BRO. HERBERT W. MASTERS 3-12-27 YE OLDE TUDOR LODGE NO 5673. The whole piece measures approximately 116 mm long with the medallion itself measuring approximately 40 mm long. Excluding its flexible ring. The metal ware is un-cleaned and would benefit from a clean and polish. Although the back of the medallion is clean. There is evidence of tool works to the back of the medallion near the suspension ring- I originally thought it was scuffing. There is some fritting of the blue enamel to the front where it reaches the metal on the outer'ring' noticeable with a magnifier. Please do ask any questions.
