Welcome. Up for auction is a Vintage Ceramic Virgin Mary and Child Figure. It is in an Abstract style and is Solid White in color. This is an impressive piece. It stands about 17 inches tall and is about 7 inches wide at the halo part. It is signed on the top of the halo: Butrick" I do not know if this was an individual or a company. It is hand signed though. I am unsure of it's age, though I would guess older. Condition: There are no cracks on it. There are two small chips that I can see. One(tiny) is on the front top edge of the halo. The other(small) is on the bottom edge on the front side. This is a stunning very ornate antique gold gilded Virgin Mary and baby Jesus music box statue. Mary stands holding baby jesus and are very detailed wearing crowns standing on an octagon lettered base. they have a very detailed fire like brass ora behind them which is a very nice element. they stand on a very large and beautifully footed base which is also gold gilded and equally as ornate. it is 4 sided with exquisite pillars and crucifixes done in high relief. the music box wonder is located on the bottom and works great. it has nice patina from age and measures 11 1/4 inches tall by 5 inches wide. it is in nice shape. One of the feet were repaired at one point but done very well, refer to last picture. Vintage 1990s Madonna Virgin Mary Christ Child Jesus Sculpture Alabaster Stone
This very beautiful sculpture is of the Virgin Mary tenderly holding the Baby Jesus Christ child. In a loving pose. Even though the faces are in profile, the sweet loving gaze is obvious. The sculpture is done in a beautiful burgundy pink figured alabaster( stone(I erroneously believed it to be marble, but corrected by someone much more knowledgeable than myself-thank you) which enhances the overall beauty of the piece. The sculpture is in excellent vintage condition, and was produced sometime in the 1990s-at least that is when it was given to the previous owner. The piece measures nearly 5” tall and sits on a base measuring approximately 3” by 1.5” Please keep in mind this is a vintage item. Not a new item.
