Antique Trade Sign Cast Iron Horse and Wrought Iron Bracket At first I thought this was a reproduction because the bolts are modern. But it is old. Circa late 1800s to early 1900s. And it was restored. The thick, glossy black paint also makes it look new, but again, it is old. There are washers welded on around the mounting holes and it looks like there is a welded repair to the scroll where it meets the mounting plate. There is pitting on one side of the horse and the other is smooth. The black paint is chipped off on the back of the orse and you can see old gold paint underneith the black. There is pitting all over the wrought iron scroll and bracket. Antique Trade Sign LARGE Letter "M" Shriners Medinah Circus Chicago
THIS IS THE REAL DEAL. If you grew up in Chicago you there's a good chance you got to see the Shrine Circus at the Medinah Temple on Wabash and Ohio. In Dec. 2000. The building was sold and all the contents auctioned off. I was at this auction. Costumes. Murals, poker tables, giant Fez lamps, EVERYTHING sold. I managed to snag the one and only"M" from"Medinah" each letter was auctioned indivdually. This reflective hand made. Hand painted, one of a kind sign would have hung outside the theatre when the circus was in town. I've added a photo of the current building(which is now Bloomingdales furn store. so you can see where it likely hung. There are 33 bubble glass reflectors on this letter. Measures 32" tall x 26" wide. There are straps on the back where the letters would have slid onto some sort of background ... moresupport. Packaging will be a challenge but I can handle it! Offered is an antique trade sign dating circa 1920. This authentic antique”U. S. POST OFFICE” sign was found during a barn cleanout in Schenectady County. NY. Measuring approx. 23.5 inches long, 4.25 inches wide and 1& 1/8 inches thick, the painted pine board with frame-moldings is decorated with black lettering on a white ground, U.S. POST OFFICE” Condition is good, the nicely crackled OLD over-paint is very appealing and real. Just enough of the white paint has worn off revealing shadows of the original black lettering beneath. There is some wear on the black frame moldings, as shown. Sign has a u-nail hanger mounted top/center. There are two drilled holes in the top molding where original eye-hole screw hangers were. A nice old folksy sign!

This original antique sign came from the Adamstown. PA area and features hand-painted lettering on a sturdy wood background. The lettering on the sign reads"Dr. M. Chasan DENTIST AP’T. 6-B" I’m guessing it's from the early 1900s. This sign has nice patina and would look great hanging in a home office, business lobby, etc. It measures approximately 23" long, 12" high and 2.5" thick at the thicker end pieces and 1.5” thick at the other points. There is age wear(look closely at the photos) I’m guessing it was originally hung on the building by two nails– one through the top and one through the bottom. Antique PAINTED SIGN 1930s Trade Sign ANTIQUES Nice OLD Paint
Offered is a nice old painted wooden trade sign dating circa the 1930’s. The sign. With black lettering on white ground, is painted on a 1 inch thick pine board having a 1.5 inches thick applied wooden molding all around. Sign measures approx. 27.5 by 9.5 inches, including the molding. The painted surface is nice and dry, not shiny at all, with just the right amount of crazing, as shown. Condition is good, there being light wear/weathering from use, including minor soiling and paint wear/loss, as shown. There are also some tight shrinkage lines in the sign from age/use, also as shown. Sign weighs approx. 4 pounds, and will ship at approx. 6-7 pounds. For sale a fantastic antique trade sign from a French boucherie. Depicting a bull's head on a heraldic shield. It is made of zinc and polychrome painted. The sign is fully authentic and made in France around 1870. A bull's head on the butcher shop wall was a familiar sight in France. This one has lots of character. Realistic features, impressive horns and a noble gaze. An authentic antique sign like this is extremely rare and hard to get by. Would be a great feature in a classic kitchen or a fine restaurant.
