SWEET Disco Fever! VINTAGE Rotating BALL 39" around Mirror Tiles HUGE
Hello this auction is for a 39 inch around Glass Tile Disco Mirror Ball. I am not sure how old it is but it could very well be from the day! 1970’s It is in nice condition no missing tiles and motor purrs quietly like a kitten. I dont have a case to carry it in but if I can find one of those insulated bags you can buy at any grocery store to keep stuff cold I think that would end up making a good convient storage compartment to transport in. This is a nice ball. I never really paid attention to how much work went into making this ball but upon close inspection I it might have been loving handmade by a pretty good craftsman because I couldnt find any markings on it and although most( 98% of the tiles look like they are exactly the same size there are a few tiles cut smaller to fill in gaps. Antique Pottery Minton TILES Stoke on Trent England 10 Pieces RARE MOHR SMITH
I am offering on Auction Style a lot of seven antique tiles and three tile bars from Mintons China Works. This very rare find from circa 1875 consists of cobalt and white tiles from the Mohr Smith Industrial Series from Stoke on Trent. England. Each of the seven pottery tiles measures 6" X 6" and the tile bars are 1" X 6" and 1/2" thick. There are five tile patterns with two being repeated. Each of these depict men doing physical labor. They have the look of strong Greek gods, warriors and lay persons in ancient backgrounds. The scenes are very detailed and there is old English writing such as The Weaver on one. I have noted that two tiles have chips, one of which also has the beginning of a hairline radiating from the chip. There are two of these tiles and the other is in excellent condition. The tiles with the edge ... morewear have no damage to the central picture and these are in very good condition. Each of the tiles are marked on the back and each has cement residue from use. 5 Different & Very Pleasant Art Nouveau Tiles (4" Diameter)
Tiles Offered for sale are five very nice art nouveau era and possibly earlier tiles. They measu re approximately 4" square and are from a known large manor type house. All are tubelined except for the last one and t he details are as follows: 1) Art nouveau floral tile mainly in turquoise and very nice. Has a chip on the lower right corner. No makers marks. 2) Ivory coloured tile depicting fruit to the centre with a patterned surround. Has a plaster like substance over parts of it but this appears to flake off. England mark to underside. 3) Interesting tile with a dark blue border and a rounded central pattern with leaves on a turquoise ground. Small nip on one edge. Crazing appearing on paler parts and the flaky white substance on a small part. No marks on the terracotta base. 4) A v ery nice tile with a mottled shell or fan depiction ... morein turquoise on a dark pur ple ground. Sizable chunk missing from lower edge. No makers marks. 5) A most likely hand decorated floral tile on a white ground. Has crazing present and some staining with tiny nips on the edges. For your consideration is this group of 4 art deco floor tiles by Villeroy and Boch with a total of 7 groups available. Each of the 4 tiles measure 6 5/8" square. Making a medallion that measures about 13 1/4" and are about 5/8" thick. They were likely floor tile and I would guess date to the first quarter of the 20th century. When placed together 4 tiles form an intricate, colorful medallion with a bold geometric design. Each tile is signed but alot of them have just enough mortar residue to fill in most of the signature. They are very nice but they are used, salvaged from a building and stashed in the St. Louis area. Virtually every tile will have some very minor edge chips, some color variation and varying degrees of mortar and grout residue. Nothing that detracts from the strong graphics of these unusual tiles. 16 Vintage Architectural Decorative Mid Century Modernism Mirrored 4" x 4" Tiles
Up for auction are 16 vintage mirrored architectural tiles recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. Each tile measures approximately 4" x 4" in size. Each have a gold pattern of stars and diamonds in a repeating pattern. They are all found in good used condition. The only condition issue to report is a chipped corner on one tile and a rough side on another. It has a nice 50's look and would be great as a splash back in a mid century modern setting. At one time, they may have been self sticking but you will need an adhesive to mount these now. Will produce a very nice look where a mirrored accent is needed. 3 Lovely Art Nouveau Tiles, Tube Line Style, Golden Tulips on Red of Beet
Here's a matched set of three Art Nouveau tiles that appear to be tube lined. Maker and origin unknown. The tiles are lovely, in overall excellent condition except for very minor edge fleabites and minimal crazing. These Nouveau tiles were never used or exposed to environmental conditions. They were likely manufactured in the early 1900s and may reflect an Arts and Crafts stylized tulip theme. The tiles are marked but the mark is unknown to the seller. It's depicted. These pill tiles were handmade by Delft Holland(one says Delft Plateelbakkery Schoonhoven Holland) and issued by Burroughs Wellcome Company on different dates. There are five different designs in this set of six. One is a duplicate. Three are in their original boxes with form fitted inserts. The two that are duplicates depict a seventeenth century pharmacist preparing medications using a medical textbook. The others depict 1) a seventeenth century pharmacist examining a patient's tongue to arrive at a diagnosis. 2) women preparing medications in a large mortar, 3) a seventeenth century pharmacist preparing medicine in an outdoors mortar, and 4) a miniature pharmacy from the School of Pharmacology in Delft and issued to commemorate twenty years of pharmacy scholarships provided by Burroughs Wellcome.

OCTIGON Antique Tiles 1920's
A little over 1/2 Medium flate rate box full of around 1920 Octagon ceramic tiles removed from a houses bathroom in Detroit. These are the real deals with no coating on top. Clean the tiles with muriatac acid. You should be able to get about 60% good tiles from the batch. These are great tiles for artists and restoration projects. They don't make these tiles anymore. You can only get the cheap coated ones. I also have a garbage can full of tile on large chunks of concrete. send me a note if interested. The set of 6 I put all the ones that have any issues, but if you are going to use(grout) them, I think a lot of the issues will all but disappear. You use your own judgment as to that. They are all in a great Arts and Crafts Matte Green. They all pretty much match. With any tile, there are variations so please don't expect them to be identical. I am happy to combine shipping. Unbelievable very RARE full set of 17 Antique American Encaustic Tiles LOOK!!!!
You are bidding on a very rare full set of 17 American Encaustic Tile Company fireplace surround tiles. These are an amazing find! They and the Mantle came out of a house on Anderson street in Bristol Virginia that was built in 1907. These tiles amazingly remained undamaged and were removed from this house in the 1980's where they have been safely stored ever since. They all have some find glaze crazing that is typical with pieces this old having been that close to intense heat. They have a mother of pearl iridized looking glaze. They depict a fish in a fishbowl with daisies or some sort of Asters winding there way up the sides and across the top. I have pictured the mantle that they were a part of. There are no cracks or chips that I have been able to find. Upon the removal of some the backs of the tiles show the underside of the mold. ... moreBut all remain intact. Spectacular pair of hunting dogs art tiles in light brown glaze. They measure 6 inches square and are 1/2 inch thick. They were manufactured by the United States Encaustic Tile Works. Indianapolis, Indiana. They date from 1888. Great condition for age. The first tile has a chip to the back as seen on the bottom left. This does not show up on the front. There is a tiny glaze rub on the bottom richt corner. There is a very tiny shallow glaze flake on the bottom edge of the second tile. There is uniform clear crazing as expected. Antique Fireplace Surround Tiles Ships and Plain Removed Old Philadelphia House
My sister who works in construction removed these antique fireplace surround tiles from a very old house in Philadelphia that was being demolished for new construction. Lot consists of 21 tiles. Each a tiny bit less than 3 1/2" X 3 1/2" Most have the mortar still attached on the back. Ten of the tiles are plain brown and eleven are of ships(two different types as shown) One of the ship tiles has a broken edge(which I don't have) It is shown in the top row. These tiles have absorbed the grime of ages around a fireplace-some are browner than others. Still very neat find and would be great for renovating an older fireplace. These weigh in at more than five pounds(four to a pound) I charge exact postage to your zip code and $3.00 handling which includes insurance. Antique mahogany fireplace, mantle copper insert corinthian columns tiles
For sale is a fantastic fireplace mantle and copper insert. It is shown with an electric fireplace which is included too. Has super burgandy and yellow lotus art nouveau tile surrounding the copper insert. Insert sets on faux bricks. Refinished about 10 years ago and still in very nice condition. Nice heavy corinthian columns. Great carved details! Overall height is 66.5 inches, 66 inches wide and 20 inches deep.
