The sign is approximately 150 up to 200 year old. East India Company was established in 1600 and dissolved in 1874) It is made on wooden boards. Vintage wrought iron bracket that was probably used to hang a double-sided sign in front of a business like a gas station. Restaurant or shop. The arm extends 52" the upright iron piece that would have been attached to a building is 24" long with a mounting hole at each end. The two sign hangers on the bottom of the arm are 23 1/2" apart. Attractive, simple design to hang a vintage sign from. There is surface rust on the iron but it is sturdily made and still very strong. You could put that favorite coke cola sign that you have been waiting to hang up on this bracket. This is a good match for the Coke Cola green and red fountain service signs hanging holes. This is an incredibly well made piece of heavy cast metal in the form of glasses. Hand painted with eyes on each side. It is in original as found condition that has some wear on it. A very fine representation of Americana. Structurally solid with no chips or cracks, just paint wear from age. Measures 19 inches long by 5 inches high including the edges that would hang the piece.
