These are heavy brass and measure 8 X 6. They weigh almost 3lbs a piece. These are plaques of the Pennsylvania coat of arms with state motto. They feature two stallions rampant with a ventral shield featuring a boat. A plow and wheat bales. Perched on top is an eagle. Below it reads on ribbons Virtue Liberty and Independence. The only reference to an E.S. Rice in regards to Pennsylvania I can find refers to a judge and a men's club which is still in business but the original building burnt down in 2002. Six Vintage Shutter Louvers Green Shabby Paint Great 4 Making Signs DIY Projects
Here are six vintage/antique shutter louvers that I rescued from a falling apart shutter. They have wonderful ancient shabby green paint with some also having a little touch of blue. They are 9" x 1 1/2" x 1/4" The 9" does not include a 3/8" dowel on each end where they fit into the shutter. These are primitive perfect for making small signs for garden. Kitchen or anywhere. There is no damage to the wood-just great paint wear. They are more faded on one side that would have been exposed to the sun. You can hang them from that wire at the top center of each-or from the dowels on the end-or hang other small items from the dowels on the end. Have Fun! Please let me know if you have any questions. They came out of a stock room of a very old greengrocer’s store. Original Glazed Metal Sign that was bought in Paris France approximately 40 years ago. The first sign is a vintage restaurant license sign R 40 Law of September 24. 1941. It has a green background w/ white lettering and a yellow stripe. The second sign is a vintage business license sign Roman numeral number 4 with the same date as the first one. Set of 6 large scale service station signs recently recovered from a Firestone Tire warehouse. Each sign measures 117" long x 12" tall x 1 3/4" deep. Each sign is attached to the original pine mounting frame and is drilled with 6 mounting holes. Additional pictures or measurements available upon request. Letters are embossed into the metal. Signs appear to originally have been black. Signs have been repainted by hand over the years. Some variation in color. Original wood frames are intact. Some finish loss. Unusual signs they have a covering of bronze coloured enamel and cream lettering.These signs come from another old Pub in Halifax West Yorkshire Increasingly rare signs; they measure 77mm x 50mm. Thick and heavy bronze signs with enameled lettering. These signs are usually engraved letters filled with a vitreous enamel. fired in a kiln) The glass enamel lettering itself seems a little crude. As if done by hand, I think the letters were probably painted by hand using cream coloured frits(powdered glass) and fired again. All original.

Vintage Art Deco era BRONZE COPPER enamel Signs PUSH PULL Circa 1930 old Pub
I got these from the Marquis of Grandby! Its was a very old pub- extended a few times until it was a large rambling place. It was much loved- now its a ruin. It sat at a junction not far from the picturesque town of Castleton in the Peak district National Park. Story I heard from a local was that some foreigner bought it to extend it as a lap dancing club for Taxi drivers but the planners wouldn't allow it. Old Amos(twas his name) went on to say that out of spite this guy shut it and left it to rot. Later it burned down. Said the guy was from Rotherham- or Rochdale cant remember. but I'm sure the Police will know.

They each measure 15cm x 10cm or approximately 6" x 4" I purchased these signs in Montpellier. France, on the southern coast of France. They were left over from a large stock of similar number plates that were used to number a series of arts buildings and adjacent structures. I believe they are NOS.

Went to the flea market today and found these signs. Very cool. I still remember when these kind of signs were being used when I was growing up. These are smaller than the ones I usually see. They measure 8" x 2 3/4" each. There are holes in each corner to hang it up. Not sure when these were made! The restroom one has L& N, a railroad, and Nashville on it.The Drinking Fountain one has 1931 and Montgomery Alabama on the corner. A couple of real conversation starters for your man cave!
