EXTREMELY RARE A Genuine Vintage American"Dolly Parton Park Way" street sign in very good condition with only minor surface rust and some paint loss. From Sevierville Tennesse on Highway 411. This is an Original Sign and NOT a Copy. This sign was once used as intended but was changed for more modern signs which are now green and white. The sign is metal and not tin and is 1mm thick steel. The length of the sign is 38" and 6" width and weighs 1.415kg. In the photo's I've included pictures of the 3 cut outs on the top and 3 cut outs on the bottom in the middle of the sign which is where the mounting bracket outer caseing fixed too, and there are the holes on either end of the sign as this was once mounted on a building with the outer surround caseing, similar to a picture frame which fixed around the sign which is ... morewhat the cut outs were for. When this sign came into my possession it was filthy and the only thing I've done is washed it, it's never been repainted and is 100% in original condition this sign would look great re-painted but you'll lose that originality. Hand painted sign that mimics what one might see posted in a traditional amusement park, fair, circus, or carnival, anywhere from the 1920s until the 1980s. Flying Scooter rides. Originally built by Bische Rocco Co. were very popular in the decades following WWII and existed at many amusement parks. Today, the ride is experiencing a resurgence as it is manufactured by a different company, Larsen International, and introduced at many parks today. Many traditional parks, including Kennywood, West View, Idora, Geauga Lake, Euclid Beach, Coney Island, Kings Island, and Conneaut Lake, all had these rides. Today, some parks still operate these historic ride models while parks are adding these newer ... morecounterparts. Cedar Point, Idlewild, Fun Spot Orlando, and Knotts Berry Farm have all installed these thrilling family attractions. The last photo in my photo gallery is of the Conneaut Lake park model. The fiberglass sign was removed years ago, and you can now own your own wooden copy.
