There are holes in the back where cord comes out and plugs into wall. In pretty good condition but there are two stress cracks on the sides of the red cover. Not the front. It is made from vitreous enamel fused onto sheet steel. Very heavy gauge- unlike recent modern versions this one can't be bent easily. Very durable. Weighs a little under 200 grams or around 7 ounces. Made in 1990s. 4" high 6" wide. One of a batch of samples made in France for an industrial trade warehouse in French Alps. Perhaps they were submitting a tender. Estimate or quote to supply the local mayors' offices with street numbers for them to issue? Maybe the councils went for other suppliers, colours or materials. These would have been quite expensive in comparison with lighter or painted versions. Anyway- not a copy. Not made yesterday. Please see similar trade samples listed. Measures approx 10" long and 5 1/2" wide" Nice condition for its age. Has some scuffs and chippy paint. But no cracks or breaks-very solid piece. EMBOSSED STEEL LETTER B METAL SIGN WALL DECOR PRIMITIVE METAL FARM art

This old letter B sign is actually a flap or a lid off of a livestock feeder. It measures about 11 1/2" by 11 1/2" and has a flange with a rolled loop at the top where a rod went through. That would be good to hang it by. Because it's embossed it would be fairly easy to paint the B and the lines on each side of it if you wanted to. From looking at the back it looks like it was galvanized. But the front was painted white at some point. It has a lot of surface rust especially the back, scuffs& scratches, wear, etc, but it's good and solid and really neat! I'm using the postage calculator on this. And sometimes it charges too much for postage. If you win, expect to ... morepay whatever it states in the auction, and after it's shipped I will try to catch it if there is a substantial difference.
