1905 French horse show prize trophy plaque Clermont Ferrand agricultural sign
This auction is for a French Antique aluminium forged plaque that was presented in 1905 to the 7th prize winner at the Clermont Ferrand agricultural horse show for the 5th division of the mounted horses. The sign has a painted surface that has slight wear and tear. As you would expect. It has the hanging hook and looks great in a shabby chic interior. The owner appears to have pencilled his name on the back. To be precise the left edge is slightly bent, so is not completely flat for about 2cm, still hangs will, not very noticeable. Antique vtg Cast Iron HORSE Trade SIGN Bracket Stable Blacksmith Restored
Antique Trade Sign Cast Iron Horse and Wrought Iron Bracket At first I thought this was a reproduction because the bolts are modern. But it is old. Circa late 1800s to early 1900s. And it was restored. The thick, glossy black paint also makes it look new, but again, it is old. There are washers welded on around the mounting holes and it looks like there is a welded repair to the scroll where it meets the mounting plate. There is pitting on one side of the horse and the other is smooth. The black paint is chipped off on the back of the orse and you can see old gold paint underneith the black. There is pitting all over the wrought iron scroll and bracket. Old Antique Metal Property House Sign Horse Carriage Garden Architectural Estate
This item is a old. Rustic metal carriage house sign showing a trotting horse and a buggy with a man inside, complete and all original. It is about 16” long and approximately 11” high. It has a time-worn. Weathered patina– it came from a Midwest estate so it looks as you would expect after being out in four seasons of elements, year after year, attached to a property line fence post. It is made out of either aluminum or pot metal as a magnet will not stick. There is extensive detailing on the horse drawn carriage and driver section, you can see the driver’s beard, the hubs in the wheels, the harness and blinkers on the horse and the individual hairs in the horse’s mane and tail. The horse’s nose has a small spot where the left nostril has become worn off a bit over time(hard to see, but there) The part of the sign with the name on it is detachable(with ... morescrews) so this item could still be used by someone who wanted to replace the name section, or if you collect these types of vintage signs, it would be an excellent addition to your collection. This carriage post sign is part of a larger collection of items that my family accumulated from over 50 years of living in the same place. Crest. Origin unknown, age unknown. Piece has lion on top of the crown thats on top of shield& a lion on 1 side of shield& a horse on the other side of the shield. The shield has 4 panels on it, 3 of the panels have lions the 4th has a winged harp figure. Writing around the shield says HONI. SOIT. QUI. MAL. Y. PENE. At the bottom the ribbon says DIEU. Vintage Metal Running Horse on Bracket House Sign Architectural Collectible
Vintage Running Horse Sign with Name Bracket Old estate find. This is a nice old vintage sign to hang on the front of a house, store, etc. It features a running horse mounted on a an iron piece that extends from a bracket. Below the iron piece is a flat piece of metal that can be used to put a name, address, etc. There are some old letters left on that can be peeled off(unless your name is W C Leiser) and the sign portion can be repainted. The piece is attached to a gray metal bracket for hanging. There is a small piece of the sign bracket missing on the bottom and top where it is attached to the gray bracket. It does not affect the sturdiness or look of the sign. There is some loss of the black paint as you would expect. Great vintage front door sign. The sign measures 14.5" long and is 12" tall. this sign plaque is made out of cast aluminum. the cast letters are also cast alumi. and are removable. the name horsey is on both sides. the horse and colt are attached to the top. the mounting section is 8 in. long and 1 3/8 in. wide. the arm is 15 1/2 in. long. the sign area is 14 x 4 1/2 in. wide. the horse is 10 in. tall and 8 in. wide and the colt is 5 1/2 in. wide and 5 in. tall. the letters are 2 in. tall. there is also a clamp bracket attached to the end for attaching to a pole. it is 3 in. wide and 2 in. deep.

Nice Old Painted Wooden Horse Stall Sign. WIDOW MAJESTIC" Offered is a vintage horse stall or carriage barn sign. Measuring approx. 24 by 7.5 inches. Sign is painted on 1/4 inch plywood, having bold mustard-yellow lettering on a dark green background. Great. Color! Condition is good, having light paint wear. There are drilled holes in the exterior top margin of the sign, where eye hooks once were mounted to hang the sign. Eye hooks are long gong, the wood being lightly damaged when the barn's new owner pulled the sign down.
