Antique Vintage Carved Farm Mill Sign Blacksmith Hand Forged Iron Decoration NH
Here we have a great old sign from I was told Loudon. NH. I'm not sure of the age of the sign but it is made with a single piece of wood that is very thick and has great hand forged decorations on the side. The sign is double sided and hand carved and painted. It's a great and heavy sign. The wood, not including the forged side decorations is about 20 1/2 inches by 55 1/2 inches and 2 3/4 thick. Up for sale is a late 1800s early 1900s iron sign that reads"OLD MILL INN TOWN HOUSE THURSDAY 12:15" This item itself is heavy. About 6 pounds, and the front and back have some metal pitting. The mounting suggests it was once attached to a building or a sign of sorts. Not exactly sure what the reference is to, but thought it was interesting and would make a cool piece for a garden or home. It is about 2.5 feet by 0.5 feet. It is also thicker than a modern sign. Beautiful antique reclaimed enamel sign from a decommissioned farm in the north midlands. No. 35" Lovely black enamelled sign with debossed hand painted white text. I believe these signs were fixed up in an old farm dairy bay in the Staffordshire area. I have a batch of 12 of these from the same farm. All in similar condition with numbers ranging from 20-50. It measures 12 inches wide by 10 inches tall. It shows signs of erosion and rust around the edges but this just adds to the patina! The signs are white enamelled with black enamel top coat. They have a lovely shiny finish. As can be seen from the photos. This one is pretty battered on the right hand side but it adds to the character. The rest of it has a nice gloss finish. I found on the internet that he worked painting signs in Otsego County in 1860. The names Jarvis& Perry I also found on the internet. They where Hop farmers near Cooperstown. NY. NICE OLD Farm Sign NO BERRY PICKING Good Old Paint
Offered is a post WWII era painted wooden farm sign with black lettering on a white ground. NO BERRY PICKING” Sign has the farm owner’s name painted. Lower right, LLOYD” Sign measures approx. 27 by 10.75 inches. Painted pine boards are joined on the back by nail-mounted battens. Sign originally had a wooden stake, which I removed. I did the leave the nails, bending them over on the back, because I did not want to disturb the painted surface of the sign. I added the old screw eyes so that sign could be hung on the wall. Antique Original Folk Prim Farm Hand Painted OOAK Primitive Welcome Sign Wooden
This is an auction for a vintage 1940’s prim painted WELCOME folk art sign. This is an antique sign from a farm estate in Columbus. Kansas- the family lived there for all of their 80+ years, it stood inside on their breezeway porch for many years- it has layers of old, thick paint. This is a true vintage piece of Americana. A OOAK item that was handmade and hand-painted. It measures 27.5” long, 8” wide and is ¾” thick. Painted black on all sides, the old, cracked paint is is still brightly colored and there are scenes of a red barn with a white“picket” fence, a white farmhouse with a green roof and a heart shaped design on the front of the house, a whimsical brown cow and a wife and husband with three children: two girls and a boy. There is a metal hanger on the backside that was added so that it can now be hung. If you wish, the family ... morename could easily be painted over or possibly removed- but that is for the new owner to decide, personally I love that it was made for someone with love and care. The old paint is still in outstanding condition, owing to the fact that it was always kept protected from the elements over the years. Antique Vintage Metal Sign Number 39 Prim From Old Farm Barn Walla Walla WA 9x15
This came from a farm near Walla Walla. WA. It was in an old barn and the owner didn't want to keep it. My son found it and gave it to me after asking the owner of the farm about it. Apparently, it was some kind of road or railroad sign that had been posted on an access road at one time in the distant past near the farm. This sign is larger than what it looks like in the photo. It is 9" tall and 15" wide. It has six original holes in it. Three on each side, and two more at the top and bottom center that may have been added later. It looks as if it may have been nailed onto some kind of post, maybe. There is some original rust, but I have cleaned the sign and lightly waxed it so that it is in a"ready to hang" state. So the finish is kind of a satin, just a bit glossy, but not too much. This shows up the nice burgundy ... morecolor in the sign. This would be a great gift for someone for whom the number 39 is special. Maybe as a birthday gift for someone turning 39. Or as an address sign, or just for the beauty of the old sign without regard to the number at all. The sign itself weighs just over one pound. So will be under two pounds when packed. It will be packed in a sturdy box and shipped via USPS Standard Post. I ship the next business day after receiving payment. EMBOSSED STEEL LETTER B METAL SIGN WALL DECOR PRIMITIVE METAL FARM art

This old letter B sign is actually a flap or a lid off of a livestock feeder. It measures about 11 1/2" by 11 1/2" and has a flange with a rolled loop at the top where a rod went through. That would be good to hang it by. Because it's embossed it would be fairly easy to paint the B and the lines on each side of it if you wanted to. From looking at the back it looks like it was galvanized. But the front was painted white at some point. It has a lot of surface rust especially the back, scuffs& scratches, wear, etc, but it's good and solid and really neat! I'm using the postage calculator on this.
