It is found in good to very good used condition and features both original stencil and paperwork. A marble slab such as this could be taken directly to the consumer so they could see the quality of marble this quarry would produce. This is a sample of marble from the Dougharty Marble Quarry, 1432 N. 20th Street, Philadelphia, PA. This sample has its original stencil in black. Over this is a paper label. This sign is cast iron that is 3/8 of an inch thick. 7-1/2 inches tall and 30 inches long. It weighs slightly less than 25 pounds. I have had this sign in my possession for about 30 years. When I first got it I had it sandblasted and primed to paint. I got to liking the color so I never finished painting it. It will require some special packing so I am estimating the size to of the packed sign to be 2x10x32 and the weight to be about 30 pounds. Vintage Antique Wood Antiques Sign Advertising Store w Hardware Double Sided
Up for auction is this great looking antique or vintage wood Antiques signs. I am uncertain of the exact age. But this is very old. You can tell by the wood and crackalure texture of the paint. This was used to advertise an antique store that once existed in upstate, NY. There is a crack in the sign but it is very stable. Double sided with bead molding and a nice size, measuring approx. 48" l x 16 1/2" h with a thickness of 7/8" Including the height of the threaded eye hooks, it is 20" tall.
