Bartholomews Quarter Inch Map Number 5- Killarney& Cork. This historic map is one of a set of 7"Maps of Ireland" The scale is a Quarter Inch to 1 mile and is mounted on cloth. It includes a neat inset map of Killarney at Half a mile to 1 Inch. The map is in good condition with the exception of a 6cm tear on one fold(see top left corner of photo) and very minor holes at some fold joints. The cover is clean. Except for a previous owners name"B Myers" The rear cover shows the map was originally sold by"Underhill(Plymouth) Ltd. Booksellers and Stationers, Plymouth" This shop was destroyed by bombing in 1941 and, although the map is undated and only shows the number"1531" in the lower left hand corner, it is estimated that the map was published circa 1930/1940.
