This is a superb early 19thc Black Forest oak carved Ibex head with plaque behind. Dating c.1819. Excellent attention to detail with the Ibex head really beautifully carved and with oak leaves decorating either side of the plaque. To the plaque is inscribed the date 1819 with a later date- 73 added. Measurements of the plaque itself are some 8" height x 7" wide. The carved head measures some 5" height x some 4.5" max depth. These are part of an estate sale, and I estimate their age at approx 1910-1930 based on the age of the family pictures found in them. They have a 4"x2.5" picture opening, and measure 6.5"x8" at largest point. They are in fair condition, need some slight repair with wood glue, and one has part of a corner leaf missing. Antique ELEPHANT BOOKENDS - Black Ebony Wood with Bone Inlays
A very unusual set of Elephant bookends- hand carved Ebony wood with what I believe to be bone inlays for the tusks. Eyes, and toenails. Heavy wood with dovetail joints holding the vertical"books" I would estimate these to be early 1900's- maybe a souvenir from an overseas trip. Very nice condition for their age- the right elephant is near perfect- on the left elephant it appears a poacher made off with her tusks- hard to notice but it does look like she originally had tusks. Each is 8" long. 7" high, and 4" deep- together they weigh about 5 lbs. Headhunting book is not included.

Antique French Oak & Copper Eugene Leroux Maitre Tonnelier Wine Jug Pitcher
For consideration is a vintage wine pitcher made by Eugene Leroux. Maitre Tonnelier. The copper is in good condition. The staved oak has shrunk and is a little loose in the copper fittings- possibly due to dryness. This pitcher will not hold liquid in its current condition. This is a wonderful set of three framed. Italian, wood inlaid pictures. They are all marked made in Italy and all have the hang tag that says- sireon imports inc. certificate of warranty Italy. Inside the leaflet it says miniature inlaid wood- frames made with gold leaf. They are all in great condition. There are a few minor nicks on the frames which can be touched up and one of the paper backs has a break in it. The ear vintage and very nice. SHIPPING: The handling fee is the insurance fee.
