Beautitful rare wooden Ethiopian Othodox blessing hand cross. Hand carved wood with gorgeous basketweave pattern and hand painted icons in two places. In very good condition over all. But it looks like the wood on the bottom piece may have split at some point and was repaired. I've had this item since 1998 and assume it is much older than that, so it seems it was a good repair job. Please see the pictures for close up looks at the area in question.
