Antique Train Station Agent Ticket Window 4 Pc. Oak, Use as Bar, Buffet, Desk
Beautiful four piece oak desk used in a train station for ticket agents. Purchased from an Illinois antique store several years ago. But unsure of where this piece was used to service railway customers- probably safe to assume somewhere in the Midwest, if not in Illinois. The total piece measures 73" wide, 72 1/2" tall, 38" deep. Makes for a sweet bar against a wall or as a space divider since the top window swings open(with scalloped carving on top) and there is plenty of storage space for glassware, bottles and bar accessories or as a china buffet or desk. Great conversation piece, especially for train enthusiasts. Buyer will need to arrange for blanket shipping from northern Michigan, or make a trip here.it is really lovely this time of year!

Nicely proportioned solid oak sideboard with two drawers. Two console cabinets and resting top with railed center section, mirror and flanking cabinets. Top has carved ornamentation and turnings on cabinets. Bottom has carved ornamentation and corner turnings. No veneers or inlays. Hand-cut wide dovetails are tight as can be. Original brass fittings and slotted screws throughout. Carving motif is primarily ribbon-hung acanthus and fruit swag. Less baroque than Victorian. But more ornate than Arts& Crafts/Mission. Most likely late 18th Century. Good condition from a smoke-free. Pet-free home. Would make a fine bathroom vanity, boutique-sized bar back, or restaurant host station. Top sits on bottom for easy separation for moving as well as creative installations. We will be able to move it to curbside for buyer's convenience. Lower section with two small drawers over a single large drawer above two bottom doors. Doors also with applied carvings. Possibly original brass hardware. This is an Antique Empire Style Tiger Oak Sideboard/Server Buffet with Beveled Mirror. It is in excellent condition with few scratches and all original. Please take a look at the pictures of the claw foot legs and hand-cut dovetail joints. It is approximately 1930s European. This was purchased by our family in 1950 at an antique store in San Jose. California. Local pick up Salem. Oregon. If outside of this area you will need to arrange for pickup. Its weight is approximately 110 pounds and dimensions are 51 inches length, 22 inches width and 55 inches in height.

Antique Carved Oak Gargoyle-Griffin Legs-Wall Mounts
Found in a old dusty basement in a pre Victorian house on the North Shore of Long Island. NY. Amazing estate where everything was built"in" the house. Original dust and dirt on two fantastic heavily hand carved gargoyle-griffins. The original paint has great wear and blistering, but under the paint is a heavy oak. Most likely from a wall or piece of a sideboard or some kind of furniture. They are still attached to a part of the original whatever, but I can remove them for lighter shipping, or leave them intact. Measures(without the back pieces) or 18 1/2" long by the widest part of the foot, 4 1/4" If you win the auction, please do not pay until you get an invoice from me.
