The neck of this antique claret jug is embellished with ribbed glass ornamentation. The body of the jug retains the original broad hallmarked mounts fitted with an elongated C shaped sterling silver handle. These mounts each feature a hinge to the opposing surface to the handle; these decorative hinges were originally used in the crafting process. This is beautiful and extremely old most likely English antique liquor cabinet/chest with brass figures and original key. It has a place for 16 glasses please note 3 are missing. Chest has minor scratches from norman wear and tear but in remarkable shape for its age. It also has 4 hand blown glass bottles with gold gilt design. The chest measures aprox.10 X 13 X 11. Antique Milk Glass W/Hand-Painting Decanter/Dresser Bottles-Butler Bros(?)
These are two antique/vintage water decanters/dresser bottles dating to the early 1900's. They may be Butler Bros. I'm not sure if they are considered milkglass or frosted glass. One has a stopper. The other does not. There is gold gilding on a raised area, much of which has worn off. Some gold and brown flowers are also painted on the decanters, and much of that has worn off as well. The bottoms have a ring base. The insides are stained and I'll leave cleaning to someone who knows the proper methods. Measurements are approximately 7" high, without the stopper, 9" high with the stopper and 6" across the widest section. No cracks or chips except a minor chip on the ring base of one decanter. This is an antique/vintage water decanter/dresser bottle dating to the early 1900's. I'm not sure if they are considered satin glass or frosted glass. I can see the brush strokes and feel the paint on the flowers but I don't know if it was painted over a transfer. It measures 9.5in. tall with the stopper and the widest part has a diameter of just under 6in. Some minor flea bites and scratching on the bottom. The glass itself has spots which almost look like water marks. The stopper end has minor chips. Overall. I think it's in very good condition, considering its age. ~ Decanter& Glasses ~ An early. Hand made, blown, enameled decanter and glass set. The glasses are liqueurs or cordials, or what is also known as. The after dinner drink size. Pontil marks can be felt on the bottom of all three pieces. The glasses have a slight twist to them, which further shows off the fact that they are hand made pieces. The only thing missing from making this a complete set is the stopper. I have lasted other pieces of antique glass. From this estate purchase, and will gladly combine shipping. CRANBERRY DECANTER AND 4 ETCHED STEMS/STEMWARE IN CRYSTAL AND CRANBERRY Up for auction is this Cranberry Decanter with 4 fabulous etched glasses. I do not know who the maker is. But definitely a quality item. The decanter is cranberry with a crystal stopper that is satinized where it enters the body of the decanter. It measures 12 1/4” tall when fully assembled, 3 1/4” across the bottom and 2” in diameter at the top opening. The stopper is 4 ¼” tall and free of damage. There is one air bubble in the decanter which is common in hand blown glass. Three of the glasses are 5 5/8” tall and the fourth is 5 3/8” tall. They are all 2 1/4” across the footed bottom and 2” across the top. The body of all of these items are cranberry etched to clear with a crystal stem and base. They are all etched with a flower which reminds me of a spider mum ... moreor a cornflower. Not really sure what the flower is though. All items are free of chips, nicks and scratches. The only concern is 2 fleabites to the underside of one decanter, another decanter with a single fleabite to the base, and 1 fleabite to one stopper. These are all so small, that I doubt they would be detected except under strong light.
