We have a very RARE 2-sided black& white porcelain sign that reads"STOCK" on both sides that we believe dates to at least as far back as the 1920's. We're not sure what"STOCK" refers too.whether it be actual stock in a company. The stock section of a store or perhaps even'live-STOCK' but we know it's cool and that we've NEVER SEEN ANOTHER ONE LIKE IT and you probably won't either! The"STOCK" wording is baked into the finish and we believe these are actually 2 individual porcelain signs encased in a porcelain frame. And we believe the frame itself can be removed, but there's a very rusty screw and we didn't attempt it. Sign measures 24 1/2" long, ... more5 13/16" tall and 1 1/2" thick. The stock signs themselves are in fantastic condition with only some scratches but no missing porcelain. The porcelain frame does have some rust issues and spots of missing porcelain. All are shown in the photos. Has three holes in the top and bottom for brackets/ hanging. Last photo shows the cast iron bracket that was attached to the bottom of the sign when we purchased it.
