I was told that it came from the Jim Wright family. I talked to a friend of Mr. Wright's and he does remember his father and mother loving antiques and having a roll top. Mr. Jim Wright studied law and became Speaker of the House in 1986. In 1989 he was elected Mayor of our Weatherford Texas. I actually worked for him during the Vietnam War mailing out flyers for our service men. This desk is in great condition with original finish. It is solid and heavy and is on rollers. THE KNEEHOLE MEASURES 33" TALL BY 27" WIDE. THE TWO FRONT REMOVABLE PULL OUT SHELVES MEASURE 26-1/2" LONG BY 16" WIDE, THE REMOVABLE BACK CENTER SHELF 27" LONG BY 22" WIDE.
