Vintage 1960s Solid Wood Folding Camp Stool used by Artist for Outdoor Painting
Description: Here is a real nice solid wood folding stool. Besides a solid wood construction it seems to have the added security of a piece of rope looped through the cross bars to give more support when you sit on it. Right now it looks like a piece of clothesline is used for this and it works as I am 6’3” and weigh 225lbs and it holds me. This stool seems to have been used outdoors for painting landscapes. This is evidenced from a few daubs of paint here and there. Please look at all of my pictures to judge color and condition for yourself. When open the stool measures around 15 1/2" High x 13 1/2" Wide x 10" Deep. It folds flat and can easily be carried by the rope loops. Keep Coming back to see what the relicseeker has to offer. Vintage Heavy& Sturdy Steel Stool The metal on this great stool ha s a lovely aged patina. It is olive green with some rust. And one leg has a splash of some brighter green. The seat is newer, and it is black with some wear on the edges which reveals a beige undercoat. This is an extremely sturdy stool- the steel is quite heavy with the piece weighing about 17 pounds. The stool is technically adjustable. Although I am not selling it as such because once the top is raised, the leg parts do not align to be able to reattach the bolts and nuts. My Mother painted over the pale yellow paint. I think, which is one of the layers under the black. She also put on the Eagle decal, which turned out very well. Size is 10 7/8" tall. Seat measures 10" X 6 7/8" Sturdy with screws holding pieces together. Made of thick wood about 3/4" Legs have planing detail on outside and inside edges to blunt the edge and give a soft feel. Up for auction is a wonderful SMALL wooden stool. Not sure if this is a"child's stool or slaesman's sample. The stool measures approximately 14" long by 7" wide by 6 1/4" high. This is VERY SMALL size! Each board(top. Spray style legs and apron) measure approximately 1/4" wide. It looks like the piece is made from the same type of wood for all pieces. The stool has great carved detail on the front and back apron as well as on the legs. The top has slightly separated from the base at each end- see photo's. As with furniture of this age-there is wear to the top. Edges and sides. There do not appear to be any repairs. The stool stands evenly. Up for auction is an original c. 1930's american made vintage industrial reinforced angled steel factory workshop stool. It was fabricated by the angle steel stool co. Inc. otsego, mi. The stool was sold by The A. Lietz Co. in San Francisco. The four-legged riveted joint steel base is a painted a nice deep green color. Although I can't be positive, it looks to be original paint. The original weathered maple wood seat with slightly sunken center is 13 1/4 across and tightly affixed to the metal base. It is splitting a bit as you can see in the pictures, but it is very solid. This is a wicker and wood shoe shine box probably made sometime in the late 1930's or 40's with metal hinges for opening and closing the lid. The lid is wood with a vinyl like material over the wood and painted black on the underside. The box construction is a wood frame with wood ends and wicker all around. One coat of white paint for the base and wicker. A used sturdy box and consider it in still very good shape. The leather is good with minor marks/ scratches, the underneath lace is missing( not seen) there is wear on the brass caps( see close-ups) the lacing on the sides is still tight but broken in a couple of places there is some edge wear, having said,that this piece shows really well and is nice and authentic! check out my other listing for several other Mid-Century unusual and interesting items) Please look at all pictures in super-sized option for most accurate depiction of actual item. This oak spool bench will have plenty of character once the wood is waxed and it is recovered! It is 20.5 inches across. 14.5 inche s deep. And 17 inches tall. Th ere is an acanthus border design pressed into the wood next to the handles. Good luck with your bid!

Antique Wood Piano Stool Mahogany with Metal Eagle Claw Glass Ball Feet. 1 spindle has been repaired/ replaced& needs restoration( see photos) WONDERFUL antique Victorian era mahogany piano stool with metal eagle claws clutching glass ball feet.very deep mahogany color& surface patina even shows some alligator like texture that comes from age.there is surface scrapes down to the bare wood in places.the center stem& legs/ spindals show a beautiful column& scroll design. The metal eagle claws show nice line detailing. Metal shows some age corrosion, clear glass ball feet show minor chip but in very good condition.the stool has a slight wobble but the bottom of the glass feet have a flat edge, 1 metal leg is a little loose so stool needs a little adjustment& the repaired spindal replaced would make this a great heirloom antique. ... moreplease see all photos) Seat is adjustable and is 14" in diameter& 19" in lowered position.
