These are extremely rare to find anymore and one in it's original presentation case is truly an exceptional find. This Omega Desk clock has an inscription on the reverse side of the case showing at some time in the past it was serviced by a jeweler. The center of case has the stamped Omega logo showing it was fabricated in Switzerland and has a serial number of 7550549. We are not collectors or experts on clocks however. It appears from a brief inspection that it's missing the slow/fast adjustment pin. Please check all the photos and determine the condition for yourself. At the present time we tried to wind the clock and it turns but does not hold. The winder for the hands seem to function properly. Being that this Omega Desk Clock is nearly 100 years old and most likely needs to be serviced again before using we are offering no guarantees or refunds. This fantastic Burl Walnut Victorian Slant Front Secretary Desk with Bookcase Top breaks down into two pieces for transport(bookcase top and bottom base with desk) is full of character, has many lovely design details and a spectacular warm finish. The bookcase top is graced with a beautiful crown moulding accented with lovely burl-clad scalloped moulding. Three raised horizontal burl panels are found beneath the crown moulding and additional vertical burl accents are found on the sides of the glass doors which are adorned with picture frame moulding. Elegant incised fan carvings accent the outside corners of these glass doors. There is an intact lock on the glass doors and a decorative(non-working) key is included to assist in opening the doors. Three adjustable shelves that measure 37” long by 8 ½” deep provide display and storage opportunity. The elegance continues on the slant front desk door which is graced with a lovely large raised burl panel and has an intact lock with a decorative(non-working) key. We’re pleased to offer this lovely acanthus carved bow-front flame mahogany slant-top period desk with claw feet and Corinthian pillars. That dates from the 1870s-90s. It has been refinished in a medium to satin sheen gloss dark reddish-brown mahogany stain. This desk has hand-cut dovetails across the top, like the early construction desks do, a breadboard writing surface that opens up to reveal two slide supports and a gorgeous interior with curved dovetail drawers, a raised beveled center door and center column drawers. It even has a key. The base has curved front drawers with wooden knobs, all dovetail, and the pillar drawers across the top, which means there are two smaller drawers across the base and three drawers in the bottom. There are also heavy-duty detailed claw feet. The overall size is 36 inches wide, 21 inches at the deepest point, and 42 inches high. The writing lid is 31 inches from the floor when opened, and the lid itself is 34 inches wide and 15 inches deep. Additional storage is found below the desk area consisting of an area with a ornate door measuring 20" x 14 1\2" deep. The drawer below this storage area measures 2" x 14 1\2" deep x 5" High. To the left of the desk is a tall shelf area with four adjustable shelves for storage or acting as a bookcase again having fine ornate wood carving over the glass door front. The ornate carvings on the front of the fold-down desk and upper glass door appear Victorian. Work is needed for refinishing this piece to bring it back to its original beauty. Some wooden back pieces shown in front. Need to be fixed to the back of the desk area and one more missing piece to make the back complete. Overall measurements: 63 ½” high 42 3\4" Wide 14 ½” deep The carved decorative top piece laying in front is shaped to hold a mirror which fits between the pieces and sits on the top of the desk area. The Hardware and wooden casters are original. All hardware appears to be brass. It is missing one wooden caster from one of the legs. Everything on the piece is original.
