Discoloration, tears{some repaired}but all are intact and the rollers function properly and are properly attached to the frame. ~ ~ The Frame is 18.75" tall x 46.5" wide x 3.25" deep and has 2 eyelets on the back for hanging. Two vintage school wall maps of Europe. Both maps were made by Edigol Ediciones S.A. of Spain. Characteristics: Non-reflecting laminate Printing litho-offset 4+4 colours with plastic strips along the top and bottom. Scale: 2cm = 100km The maps feature a political map on one side and a physical map on the other. The maps are bright but are in a used vintage condition with evidence that they were stapled to a wall at some point(small holes on the white border) Approx size 90-95cm x 110-130cm. Map 1. Cold War Era 1945-1990. Unfortunately this map has a dark stain around Albania and on the edge. This stain has gone through the paper. Map 2. This is a set of 3 wall hanging maps and charts for use in a school or learning environment. They are all made from a strong rubberised fabric with wooden top and bottom hanging rails. The fabric allows the user to write on it in either chalk or non-permanent marker and then clean off of the markings. The hanging map has the UK on one side and England and Wales on the reverse: it measures 92 cm wide and 124 cm high. Are suitable for wall mounting in a lounge, briefing room, clubroom, restaurant and so forth. The charts are not suitable for navigation. The air navigation features are obsolete but the geographic features will be accurate. There are two sets Set one: The continental US on four panels. The four panels are each approximately 4ftX3ft. When mounted together on a wall the total will be approximately 9ftX6ft. Because of the curved surface of the earth projected on a flat map there will be some gaps along the join line. Set two: The Conus and much of Canada on one map. The map is approximately 4ft9inX3ft6in showing all the Conus plus Canada to North of Hudson Bay. The map could be ... moretrimmed much smaller if only the Conus is wanted. Mounting these maps on panels will be difficult. The paper is strong with no signs of aging. But there are fold creases, which will have to be flattened. A protective coating may be desireable. Here for sale is a working A. J. Nystrom pull down wall map case which is made of oak and holds 8 wall maps. The case measures about 19 3/4 by 53 inches and has an A. J. Nystrom. Chicago, stamp on one of the sides. The Oak Case is in very good overall condition. There is some green paint in one area which could easily be cleaned up and the wood restored with finish. The map hardware is in excellent shape and in working condition. See photos. I am also selling a total of 8 Nystrom pull down maps that I purchased with the case at a local estate auction that are dated between 1940 and 1943. This is 20 panels with a front and back view so you get 40 displays. This is a wall mount rack and installs very easy. The viewing area in the panel is 24x36" I thought for an antiques store for maps and prints or photos though it is large enough for smaller size posters. A really nice rack that has been used but not abused. This has been moved and displayed so they have some wear but the rack is great.
