This map opens to 18" x 41" and has great detail on old road alignments. With cartography by H.M. Gousha. The coverage area includes Glendale, Pasadena, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Burbank, Hollywood, Vernon, and more. The map locates U.S. Routes 60. 99, and 101. Route 66 runs west through Pasadena and vanishes into the Colorado Freeway. I-10 was still under construction west of the 405. The map was distributed by the Standard Oil Company of California in 1965 and is dated in the legend. The code number in the lower margin is 7-MM. You are bidding on 2 paper maps. Buyer will get both"for one money" HIGHWAY MAP- This is an original. LARGE, road map of Dutchess County NY. The date at the bottom is January 1967. Far out! Overall size is 29 inches wide by 49 inches tall. This map has been folded& un-folded many times. Resulting in parts of the map paper coming apart at the folds. There are many small tears/holes. The map is stained in places. Overall I think"poor" condition. But still cool! There are lines drawn across the map with a permanent marker. And numbers along the lines.I don't know what the lines or its numbers mean. Map is only printed on 1 side. The phone number shown on the map still uses the old letters + numbers format! Old School. Map lists the county highway department roads they maintained. Hunting Map- This is a 8.5"x11" ... moresheet of paper. Printed on both sides. It is the State of NY Conservation Department Dutchess County Cooperative Area Fish and Wildlife Management Act for Region 8. On 1 side is a map showing the public hunting area around Route 343. Beaver Brook, Camby Road, Chestnut Ridge Road, Dover Road, Overlook Road, Killearn Road. On the other side is a typed-up outline of the NYS hunting rules for this hunting area. There is no date on this document. But I assume it is from late 1960s or early 1970s. The paper has been folded into a small square. So there are folds/creases. Four 1920's OS Contoured Road maps in good to poor conditions. Bridgwater- One crease line section is coming away. Discoloured crease lines and tiny holes were the crease lines meet. Oxford and Henley on Thames- Very clean and dissected on cloth. The drawback is that there are about 20 small annotations in black ink showing what I assume are mileage references. Still a nice map. River Tweed- Fairish condition. Discoloured crease lines and tiny holes were the crease lines meet. Bedford- Fairish condition. One two inch crease line is coming away, there is some discoloured crease lines and tiny holes were lines cross.
