Ginn & Heath's Classical Atlas - 1882 - Colored Maps of Ancient World
The binding of this book is in terrible condition. However. The maps inside are beautiful and the written portions of the book are most informative. It claims to have twenty-three maps, but I only count twenty. The book was assembled using some sort of cloth tape, and there are a couple of places where it looks like the maps could have been removed. A portion of the title page was also cut out.The book measures a bit over seven by eleven inches. Regardless of the condition of the biding, these maps are beautiful enough and informative enough that they could easily be framed as useful decoration for that study. They certainly make it much easier to understand ancient history and mythological history!

Advertisments, Expo Details, and other Info. Good Condition. Some mild creasing down the spine. Small script on the first couple maps in ink, but none elsewhere. No rips, tears, dog ears, stains, etc. 1) Bell System Pamphlet- Fun at the Fair.Where and How to Find It" 15 Pages- Breif Info on the various activities. This is a pair of 1962 Seattle World's Fair maps. The larger map if for Seattle's World's Fair from April 21 to October 21. 1962. It shows the street and vicinity. It is in GREAT shape with crisp folds, etc. It was put out by Chevron Dealers and Standard Stations, Inc. The 2nd map also put out by Standard Oil of California shows the fair grounds with numbers by the exhibits. It has some pencil marks inside and a couple of extra light creases. Personel Collection Vintage Metal and Wood Old World Globes made in Italy Maps
Up for your consideration is this collection of made in Italy wood and metal old world globe spheres. I have collected these for the past several decades. One here and one there. All are in good to fair condition for their age. The pictures pretty much tell their condition. They add a warm wonderful look to your room. The tallest one measures about 18" tall. I think one of them has a crack or split that may have been glued back together. Still noticeable but I think it adds to the character. Some rubs and spots on front and back cover. Front cover fore edge has a sun stain or fade. Weak hinges, but the contents are well bound. Yellowing and some foxing on inside front and back boards. Neatly written inscription on top of front inside board: George F. Winter Army Serial number, 1535454" No other writing or marks. No dust jacket. Volume 2 measures same as above and contains 725 pages with copious photos and Appendix I- III. Book of 25 war maps. Pages are 15 X 10 1/2 inches. In overall good shape except as noted below. Including the front and back covers there are a total of 16 pages 1 map is 2 pages. 5 maps are full page 6 maps are half page 13 are of various sizes under a half page The map on the back cover is torn as is shown in the last picture. This caused the Caribbean map in the second to last picture to fade unevenly. There a few light stains on a small spot of the back cover.

Tunison World Atlas~Hand colored Maps of the World~1880s?
Up for bid is a very old. Very tattered, brittle, Tunison's World Atlas. From an Estate, the front and back covers are missing along with the first and last 10 pages, and pages 27-30. It is darkened from age, and after doing some research, I believe this is from the late 1800s-early1900s by H C Tunison, Jacksonville IL. 14 x 11.5 inches, originally had 209 pages. The Atlas features hand-colored maps of the world including maps of the US States and territories, chiefly hand-colored with several appearing in printed color. Can't find a date in the atlas, but there is a page of the Presidents that ends with Benjamin Harrison, elected in 1888. Also, a page showing the official seals of the US States has only 38. For as bad as the condition is, some of the inner pages are still good, and I have seen similar ones listed individually for ... moresale. A wealth of information about railroads, populations, engravings, etc. Even in its poor condition, a valuable piece of History.

Antique Geographia World Maps Alexander Gross pre 1922 125 maps available
I am offering for sale my own LARGE collection of approx. 125 Alexander Gross Geographia World Maps I believe these all to be of a single publication date of between 1918 and 1922. Earlier Geographia maps having no publication or Cumberland date code it is difficult to be exact on publication dates. However the subject of some of the maps fully support this date as being just post WW1. For Instance the maps of the German Colony Repossessions, and Ireland before Partition. These maps were produced centre folded to be edge mounted. But these have always been loose so have not suffered any perforation. There is as expected some edge discolouration and moisture marking on the paper consistent with their age. But this has not affected the quality of the printed image. In fact for 90 plus years old, they are remarkable, with none of the damage ... moreto the fold you would normally see, and no sunlight fading. I initially intended to sell these as one lot. As to find a collection of this size is now very uncommon, and it would be a shame to split. However the cost of selling as a complete collection would be beyond the pocket of most of us. I will therefor split the collection by country. I am unwilling to supply a single map from a multi-map country. Please contact me with you requirements for a price. As obviously some countries have several maps Individual sheets if you look worldwide. Are achieving very good prices of between £20- £60, as they make ideal candidates for framing. 13 French Maps from Battle of Montdidier- August. 1918- World War 1[S916] Up for auction we have a unique find. A collection of 13 French maps of various sizes relating to the Battle of Montdidier(which online research lists as part of the famous Battle of Amiens) during August of 1918 near the end of World War 1. The maps are numbered Croquis No. 1 thru 12 and No. 15. So. This is probably not a complete set. I believe these to be original period pieces(as I would not think maps of this nature would be reprinted) but I cannot tell 100% for sure. A number of the maps bear the name"Commandant Daille" printed at the bottom. The maps are all in very good condition with the exception of a couple that have small seam tears. Look what was in grandma's estate! Ancient reproduction maps of Mexico and the Gulf: Nova Hispania! These are quite interesting. I'm not sure of the century these reproductions are de picting. But it appears the writing is in Latin. I'm terrible with languages, but this is my best guess) They are stamped on embossed matte-type cardboard st ock. We have no idea how old these are. But grandma had them for many moons. We are guessing maybe the 50s? The frames are included. But need some Old English to touch them up. The prints themselves are in very good condition, considering there is no glass in the frames. The artwork around the border of the world map is breathtaking.
