This auction offers a Vintage 1920 HAMMOND’S POCKET ATLAS Of The WORLD. This little hardback measures 6” high x 4” wide x ½” thick. it ... morehas 240 numbered pages. See the front cover in our first scan& the Title Page in the second. The main content of this book are the dozens(If not hundreds) of high quality. Colored maps printed on quality, glossy paper. This atlas also contains copious demographic facts as known to be accurate during the Post World War 1 era of the early 1900’s. See snippets of the running content in our next four scans. The last scan is of the“easy locator” index. This RARE OLD ATLAS is itself now 93 years ol d. And as such it has sustained some damage that we thought fitting to repair for the preservation and future use of this GENUINE unique ARTIFACT of the early 1900’s. We repaired the spine. The hinges, and reinforced a crack that was beginning to form in the inside front cover. We are pleased with these repairs. There is still shelf wear to the covers. And there is some very minor margin staining to the top corners of the first few pages. See our first scan. This book is signed by a previous owner. And perhaps this same person made pencil notes on both the front and rear endpapers. Now the good news: The covers are firmly attached. The binding is tight, the pages are a high quality

It has maps of the states as well as various countries and the continents. It's 110 pages, bound with a leather spine and hard covers. There are inscriptions on the front and inside the front page, but no other marks in the book. It's in incredibly good condition for a school book, the only inside damage being about an inch torn out of the bottom of the blank first page. The names of individual maps are listed below. Map panels measure 43 ½" wide x 66" long when it is pulled out. Wall Bracket is 49" long. The maps are in very good condition nice bright color(no rips or tears) and come with the metal mounting wall case. There are more maps than I am able to picture. This is an interesting collection of 4 maps approximately 17.75 inches by 21 inches each. Covering regions of Strassburg, Darmstadt, Brussels, and Laon. These multicolored maps are dated 1910-1912, and have red and blue areas added for forts, batteries, tanks,etc. They might be WWII era maps. 1:300,000. But it's in a bit rough condition. At one point the book was bound with string, so some of the double page maps have small holes in center from binding string. Edge tears, chips, spots. Map of US has larger fold tear up from bottom and into Texas. Etc.etc. I've shown you just about all the maps, so you can see condition for yourself.
