Have a look at the gorgeous Tiger Stripe grain figure throughout; with beautiful Incised& Leaf carvings& ribbed apron base. A couple small bits of carving on the corners missing, touched up to blend. The upholstery is not original, re-done at some point in time but it is cheerful& perfectly servicable with no holes, tears or odors. The upholstery could be easily recovered in you choose. Although there is no mattress.I guess there must have been some padding at one time. Im sure you creative types out there can figure out exactly how this originally functioned. When open, the front section is webbed& has inner springs, perhaps the back section also did at one time. There is a heavy iron center latch& thick iron fold-down corner supports. On the one side you can see 2 folding iron frames that come to rest at an angle, presumably as headrests. The sofa measures 72.5 inches long, 21.5 inches deep& 33 inches high with a 23 inch high pillow end& 16 inch high seat. It is a generous 10' 6" long and ... morehas walnut veneered tables built in each end and solid walnut trim. The sofa sits on nine tapered walnut legs with brass casters. All of the casters roll smoothly making it easy to move the sofa around the room. The back of the sofa is fully upholstered as well. It is in very good vintage original condition and can be used as is. Or reupholstered to suit. The original upholstery is in very good condition with some light wear, but no tears, rips or stains, and no noticeable odors, the bright spots in some of the pics is sunlight) There is a loose seam on the right front corner of the cushion as shown, but it's not bad and would be an easy repair if it bothered you. The foam is in great shape with no sagging or hardness. The foundation is excellent, and the frame is sturdy and tight. The walnut veneer and solid walnut trim are in very good condition with some signs of wear to be expected with age and use. There are two small veneer patches on the vertical portion of the left table as shown in the close-up. There is also a faint dark ring on the left table top. The walnut trim along the bottom has a few dings and scratches, but nothing noticeable. All of the flaws are shown in the close-ups. Overall it looks fantastic and could be used as is, as we did) but it's 40+ years old and not perfect. I would be happy to send additional pictures, just let me know. Measures 126" long, approx. 49" deep from the back to the farthest point on the front, seat depth is 23" not including the back cushions.
