Totally RETRO! Neat splatter effect!Very nice shape for the age! May need a slight cleaning. The material is soft. But then feels almost like a canvas underneath. Definitely durable and seems as though it would clean well, especially against spills and such. We come across many things. Immaculately preserved sectional sofa by Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin. Draped in amazing Jack Lenor Larsen fabric. This is truly a rare specimen. The previous owners had a custom cover made for the sofa, which has protected the fabric for at least 30 years. Colors remain vibrant and stunning. Base is comprised of walnut peg legs and a thin walnut trim around the bottom edge. Great lines, solid construction, and of course, the most coveted of fabrics in near mint condition. w 135" x 108" sections measure individually 102" 108" h 30" including back cushions | 25.5" to back of sofa d 32.5" Seat Depth 19.5" Seat Height 18" There are no labels. However I submitted photos to Thayer Coggin, and they believe this to be a Milo Baughman design based on their archives. Will provide copies of email correspondence. ... morePhotos shall serve as part of description. There is one small blemish on the corner of the arm. And a small tear to a seam on the outer inside corner of the shorter section. This is covered by the cushions but mentioning for accuracy. Foam has some minor hardening on the very back top edge, otherwise soft throughout including all cushions. Legs are in very good condition, no scratches or scuffs to legs or trim. Could benefit from a light refinish to liven up the wood, but just as beautiful in as-is vintage condition. I am very thorough with condition descriptions. This is a vintage(all original except upholstery) 1960's 3-piece Bannister Couch(either Henredon or Drexel Heritage) The couch was reupholstered in an White(Oyster) Italian Provincial style Cotton/Nylon cloth with a Matte Lafé sheen. And with the back being tufted with buttons. It has exposed Italian Tapered legs made of Fruit Wood. And exposed moldings made of Fruit Wood as well. It is in very good/near pristine condition, as shown in the pictures. The couch is a 3-piece sectional. None of which are/become attached to the others when in place. The dimensions include the following: seat depth-22 3/4 in. height-29 in. back to front(depth) 39 in. each section is approximately 4 ft. long. At buyer's expense and arrangement.
