The upholstery is really great with a raised colorful floral pattern. The shape of the frame is just incredible and really unusual. It has an exaggerated pagoda influenced back that flairs out into circle rosettes at the ends. The curves of the arms mimic this architecture and gives the piece a very decorative and indulgent feel to match the very boisterous fabric. Overall this is a great piece that will look great in a mid century modern setting. Measures 34" tall x 86" wide x 34" deep. Seat height is 15" Good vintage condition. Upholstery is faded in large areas including on the back of the sofa. Cushions are hard and at least interiors should be replaced. Sofa dimensions are 74" long x 21" deep x 30' high. The lounge chair dimensions are 31' wide x 21" deep x 28" high. The rocker dimensions are 28" wide x 21" deep x 29" high. Produced by the Green Brothers Furniture Company in Wilkesboro. North Carolina. Excellent condition. No tears. The rocker has a couple of small marks or discolorations(see photos) which nevertheless do not detract from the overall condition of the set. This set was very gently used. Vintage Mid Century Modern Eames Era Adrian Pearsall Sofa Couch FULLY RESTORED
This auction is for a beautiful Danish Modern Adrian Pearsall Mid Century Modern Eames Era couch I have had FULLY RESTORED– designer fabric. New heavy industrial foam and body padding, new webbing, new decking, new foam cushions, two new pillar foam end pillar bolt cushion pillows, new chrome cushion clips and I had the strings re-tightened. It is a breathtaking piece of furniture. The original under frame is still in place. I purchased it several months ago, had it fully restored, received it last month and now found out I am being transferred. The furnishings I am taking with me have to be limited and this is one of the pieces I have to sadly let go. It is gorgeous. There are no labels on it. It is IMMACULATE and has been freshly reupholstered with the most gorgeous celery green woven fabric with a designer‘circle and dot’ accent fabric ... morethat is second to none spectacular. I call it my“ Marlo Thomas/That Girl” look! Words cannot describe the colors of the accent fabric. The velvety‘circles’ are a jeweled turquoise color with a matching green celery“dot” inside(that matches the overall celery green woven fabric to a“T” the woven background inside the circle is a bit darker beige color than the lighter beige woven background. This fabric is carried over into the two pillar bolt cushions. The company that restored this couch is renowned in the area and did an EXPERT job. I am EXTREMELY picky and they truly surpassed even my expectations! It is a truly daring design. I wanted something‘light’ yet‘bold’ and I feel my goal was accomplished. Both fabrics are new and are currently available should you want to match other pieces of furniture in your home. For your consideration is a Fantastic Vintage Mid-Century Modern Sofa. With a Solid Walnut Frame and a Mustard Yellow Upholstery, very much in the style of Adrian Pearsall! It is in the exact condition shown. Clearly needing to be recovered, by the frame is very solid and the foam is even still nice. Needs to be re-strapped as you can see. The only damage to the frame that I can see, is that one side at the legs there is some minor separation where it is doweled in, should just be a clamp and glue job. This is shown in the closeup(last photo) The sofa is nice and stable as it sits however, does not feel weak or cheap, clearly very well built! Vintage Eames Era Mid Century Danish Modern Walnut Charles Sofa Settee Couch
This is a beautiful vintage Danish modern 2 piece sofa/ settee. The sofa looks to have beautiful teak or walnut hardwood. I am not sure of the which the wood is. But it is pretty and hard. The tag says made for CHARLES. NEW YORK. The sofa is being sold as-is. The fabric is a light tweed that will have to be replaced because of fading/stains. The cushions are made of hog hair and horse hair and are very heavy. The sofa itself needs minor repairs that would be done with reupholstering. There is one leg that broke off. But just needs a new dowel glued in. There is some give on the backside of both sofas where the armrest is. Also the armrests have just a little give to them. The back of the sofa is sturdy if you push on it from the front. I am not sure, but would guess this can be fixed/ tightened when the fabric is off. The wood is in good ... moreused condition. It has some minor scratches/scuffs and paint marks that should be rubbed out with an oil or wood refinisher. There is a nick in the back corner of the right sofa's leg. One right side single seat, loveseat, and corner section It is lightweight. Darker brown in color wood. I do not know the type of wood nor does it have a makers mark. This wonderful 1960s Danish modern platform sofa from a midwest estate is of excellent quality and is in structurally sound and sturdy used condition with wear to the back of the wooden rail bolster support as shown. The original cushions are included but the original upholstery is faded. Soiled and has a few holes. Each of the 3 cushions is zippered, so they could easily be removed and cleaned/replaced if desired. There is a maker's label, but it is mostly obscured by the webbing, which has already been replaced once and could use tightening. Jack Lenor Larsen Mint Condtion Vintage Happiness Sofa Panton mid century 1 of 2
Here is the smaller one of 2 mint condition sofas in the style of Milo Baughman. They are covered in a fabric by Jack Lenor Larsen called Happiness. The big cushions each have the name and order number of the interior designer who was based out of Palm Desert. They must of been in a rarely used guest house as they are in absolutely pristine condition. I have had them for about a year now and that is the only time they have been used. This one measures 27" high. 34" deep, and 72 1/2 long. The other one is same but 78 1/2" long. This auction is for one, the smaller one. Happiness was designed in 1969 and is a highly desirable Larsen pattern. The upholsterer that did these sofas knew what he was doing! the pattern matches on all the seams. I am only selling these because they are in such amazing condition I do not want to use ... morethem! This one has one very small stain on the bottom cushion. No decor is complete without the perfect lighting. And here is one of the best! Remnants of Fabric 1977 by Manuel Canovas on Selvedge Circa 1960 6 Seater three piece sectional Superior sofa. Please read entire listing(First three pics are accurate depiction of color and tone) Beneath the full coiled back and bases with lasagna metal coiling remains the fabric of Manuel Canovas dated 1977. Twine and lasagna metal coils mean this sofa was made to last and is as comfortable and supportive as the day it was made. The slanting of the back and tufting is highly suggestive of Probber's work. The cushions are sealed. And the fabric is premium quality as we estimate was reupholstered in the late 70's. More odd is the presence of another selvedge with fabric patterns suggesting either this piece had original Manuel Canovas fabric done over even older fabric as it is floral in nature. The measurements for the sectional are as follows: Wall to outer edge is 97.5" both ways. It is 29" tall. The seat height is 16" with the arm rest height of 21.5" The sofa is 33.5" deep with cushions 21.5" deep. The condition of the fabric is excellent with only the mildest signs of use. Scuffs. Up for auction is a vintage fiberglass sleeper sofa with removable black fabric cushions with zippers. I had the cushions recovered. Fiberglass is in great shape except for 2 spots on the arms(see pics) that the previous owners put fiberglass filler and it is not glossy and an off white on those spots. You can probably go to a body shop that works on fiberglass autos to find out how to buff it. I was going to but it never bothered me enough and doesnt really stand out. This material- and the construction of this sofa was fairly limited to a number of makers such as Edward Wormley of Dunbar. Tommi Parzinger and Harvey Probber. There once existed a certified vintage reupholster in West Virginia called"Jim's upholstery" which went out of business decades ago and they were the ones who reupholstered this sofa in it's present form. It is also possible they changed the legs on the sofa as well as they- while being vintage- do not come across as original. Though they may be. The quality ... moreof this sectional can not be over-stated. Spring backs with rope. Twine and lasagna metal coils mean this sofa was made to last and is as comfortable and supportive as the day it was made. The slanting of the back and tufting is highly suggestive of Probber's work. The cushions are sealed. And the fabric is premium quality as we estimate was reupholstered in the late 70's. More odd is the presence of another selvedge with fabric patterns suggesting either this piece had original Manuel Canovas fabric done over even older fabric as it is floral in nature. The measurements for the sectional are as follows: Wall to outer edge is 97.5" both ways. It is 29" tall. The seat height is 16" with the arm rest height of 21.5" The sofa is 33.5" deep with cushions 21.5" deep. The condition of the fabric is excellent with only the mildest signs of use. Scuffs. Nicks, dents to legs. Blanket wrap to lower 48 states with exception to remote areas which will be extra.

Up for Bids is this Beautiful Vintage Mid Century Modern Adrian Pearsall Boomerang"L" Shaped Sofa Couch I believe from Craft Associates and I believe the front and wedge shaped table top on back is made of Walnut. I thought it was teak. But from my research it looks like they mostly used walnut, but we are not experts and please feel free to ask questions or inform us of any info about this item we can pass along. The Frame work, wood, webbing and some type of adjuster bars underneath are in excellent Used condition, however the cushions show fading a stain or two and some wear, but no rips, tears or holes. I would recommend a reupholster to make this phenomenal Atomic Era couch look like new, but very usable as is! It is 10' 6" long, 66" at widest part of boomerang and 32" at the longer narrow end. Retro Mid Century Warren Platner Steelcase Sofa Panton Era. Super groovy and structurally sound! Most cushions are original. Though I'd recommend replacing the foam/upholstery. Also, the vinyl trim under cushions needs to be replaced. Someone has also painted the fiberglass body with grey house paint and it is scratched in some areas, shouldn't be too hard to remove. A few small chips on top corners and five of the slip covers have broken zippers. It retains the original lucite base. All clear and in good shape with exception of a small, cosmetic crack. Estate find! Rare vintage patio furniture set with sofa. Lounge chair, ottoman. Really super set! Sofa glider: 72" long x 22" deep x 28" tall at back of frame. Glides smoothly and so comfortable! Lounge chair reclines and swivels on circular base. Measures: 37" to top of frame when upright. 48" long when reclined, seat: 21" x 20" Moves smoothly and also very comfy! Original vinyl-covered cushions have been covered with Southwestern motif slipcovers. Fabric is a bit faded but intact: no rips or tears. No stains. Ottoman: 13" x 17" x 11" high. Perfect footrest! I think this set would be called Eames Era based on the wonderful style and superb quality. It may be a Salterini? Weinberg? Woodard? design but I can't find a Maker's mark. Perhaps painted over? Vintage Mid-Century sofa in the style of Knoll & chairs of JG Furn. Co. of NYC
Vintage sofa and chairs for sale as a set- the sofa is designed in the style Knoll and is from the 60s. It was purchased new and was in used our company waiting room until being placed in storage several years ago. The chairs are Barcelona style and from the same era and purchased new from JG Furniture Company of New York City and were in the waiting room as well. The sofa and chairs are in really good shape no tears or damage to the vinyl and the frames are in great shape as well.
