Reupholstered sofa from 1940s. The fabric with one of the regulars was from calico corners and was about $75 a yard. The cost to reupholster plus the fabric was about $2000. The colors and the fabric are Black. Red, green, and gold. It is a three cushion sofa and has been well-maintained. Proximate measurements are 34 inches in height 72 1/2 inches in length 28 inches in depth. Vintage 1940s Art Deco three-person sofa couch davenport in green
This is a classic sofa and is completely intact. An expert has now informed me this is a very sophisticated Art Deco sofa. Thank you so much! It was last upholstered in the early 1950's. So I'm sure it dates to at least the 1940's. There are no rips or tears, but you'd probably want to redo it anyway. It's a very durable, nubby fabric, but it's really green(greener than the pictures make it look-a Christmas green-it's not even close to teal) It has not been used since about 1979 and was covered with a sheet. It measures 79" long by 39" at its deepest(floor space needed front to back) and 32" high. You will have to pick it up. There is an identical chair, but it's red and we have not uncovered it yet. Irving Chase Lounge Posing Couch Vintage Furniture Library
Even though this older vintage piece of furniture shows some wear I love the look of this piece and had to have it when I saw it. It came out of a local estate and I believe it dates to around the 1940's. As you can see in the photos there are lots of nicks in the fabric, which I believe is some type of a vinyl. The nicks are only on the top and end areas, there is also a thin piece of plywood that has a split in it, the top actually is supported by the pieces of wood running from side to side and the plywood being cracked really doesn't alter the piece from being sturdy. The couch is very sturdy, the legs are heavy, made of iron and have a claw and ball design on the end. If you are looking for something that looks new please don't bid on this but if you don't mind some wear on older pieces then I think this piece has a cool ... morelook in the right area, you could even have it recovered if the damage bothers you. Reupholstered 3 cushion well maintained sofa from 1940s. The transitional style fabric is high quality. Exquisite, from calico corners. It cost about $75 a yard. The colors and the fabric are Black. Red, green, and gold. The cost to reupholster plus the fabric was about $2000. The cushions and backing are new. The exposed wood trim is nicked in some areas& could easily be spruced up. approximate measurements are 34 inches in height 72 1/2 inches in length 28 inches in depth. Vintage S B Couch Intercom Phone Bakelite 1940's?
Hello! You are bidding on 20 Couch Intercom Phones. These are 1940's vintage and were recently removed from a working system in a Chicago high rise. 11 are all original[mechanism. Handset and wiring] 4 have original handsets-but new curly cords and 5 have new handsets and new cords. These were heavily used. So they have scratches and paint spatter.etc. See photos. Best offer gets 1st choice of the number and which one/s they want. Make offer for one or all. As I said. They were working when removed, but are being sold as is or for parts.
