Heres a vintage sofa in the Hollywood Regency or Country French style. Not too sure which style to call it. This came from the original owners Estate where its been covered in plastic since new. The plastic is tattered a bit and kinda dingy on the outside and I wouldnt keep it. But for now its doing an excellent job in protecting the fabric. Carved wood frame with a pale yellow velvet fabric. Ive had the plastic off and the fabric is in outstanding shape. In fact its like new. There is a small amount of dust and debris that will simply have to be vacuumed off but this will look great once set up and plastic off. Abstract floral pattern material is in excellent vintage/used condition. With no rips, no tears and no worn areas. The fabric has a velvet hand and shows only very slight fading. The cushions and springs are firm and hold their shape. The metal frame is shiny, sturdy and shows only very minor surface marks. Mid Century"Thunderbird" Gondola Sofa by Flexsteel Stunning and very rare mid century sofa by Flexsteel. This sofa is truly a standout piece in a space and stretches a massive 9.5' long. The frame and wood details on the piece are in impeccable and show little if any vintage wear. The upholstery of the sofa was redone at some point and the back cushions were simplified to a rectangular shape rather than the original trapezoid shape they once were. This is a great opportunity to own a beautiful mid century modern matching set couch and chair. I believe this is an Adrian Pearsall Craft Associates set. But there are no tags on the furniture to confirm. Take a look at the amazing wooden legs! This is a real quality set that began life with some of the nicest upholstery work I have seen on furniture of this era. Conditionally the fabric and wood are in very good used condition. The biggest condition problem is that over time the seat of the couch has flattened out(look at pictures) and has some slight wear/discoloration. The back of the couch still looks really nice. Up for bid is a 5 piece Mid Century Modern sectional sofa. My grandfather was a family physician in Greensboro and this furniture served as his office furniture in the 1950s and 60s. It was reupholstered with the current fabric in 1995. This sofa is in good vintage condition and has minor stains and two buttons need to be sewed back into place. It is a solid piece and is built to last. They don't make good furniture like this anymore. This is a rare find and needs a new home. I wish I could hold on to it but I'm moving. This is a great piece for any mid century or Danish modern home. Great if you need an extra bed because it folds out to create a FULL SIZED bed. The upholstery could probably use a good cleaning. No major stains but if you look close you can find a few. It looks great as it is but any piece that is 40 years old is not going to appear mint. I will add more pictures shortly. A picture says a thousand words and saves me a lot of typing. Non smoking home. This is a gorgeous mid century modern Danish sofa couch with the grooviest blue upholstery. This will be your mid century modern retro showpiece! The upholstery is in outstanding condition considering its age with no rips tears stains or burns. There is below average wear and tear on the material: considering its age. The upholstery has been professionally cleaned and all the wood trim has been refinished and is in beautiful condition. Adrian Pearsall Couch Mid Century Modern Sofa 2006-S Original Upholstery CLEAN!
Mid Century Modern designer sofa by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates. This is model 2006-S. And attains its original gold striped velour upholstery and is very clean! It measures 123" x 29" tall x 30" deep. The four legs do unscrew. This is not a couch to'plop' down on. The foam is okay, but because the original owner never let anyone sit on this couch, the cushion is a bit deflated or depressed in the middle. Please notice the marks on the wood in pics 6-9. Small piece of wood missing on bottom corner as seen in pic 6. Faint'water drip' marks in pics 7& 8. Some tiny flecks of blue paint as seen in pic 9.
